I think you should go Hong Kong on November or December, it's the best season. Anyway about the cost, it depends on your budget too like what kind of hotel do you like to stay and where do you want to stay. Because Hong Kong has 2 big islands which are Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. And in my opinion I think if you want to save money you should stay at Kowloon. The hotels are cheaper. Then, when you want to travel in Hong Kong Island you can take a ferry to there. So, I think around 1500 - 2000 USD it's enough and you can stay in the good hotel and enjoy traveling in Hong Kong especially Hong Kong Disneyland, the newest Disneyland.

Yes, it is easy. See the Tourism bureaus website for more info. There is a great subway that connects to the main parts of town and you could always take a taxi or walk.
See Victoria Peak, you get a panoramic view of Hong Kong and Kowloon. Mon Kok for it's shopping or Harbour City mall, one of the largest in the world in Tsimhatsui
What you should know? Carry some tissues with you. The restaurants in Hong Kong do not always have napkins.

yes, it would be easy. HK is not that big!!
ok here's some list that i think u need 2 c while u r there:
1. the Peak, its better to come at nite time.. there are plenty restaurants there too, if u wanna dine. Go and see HK from the top of the 'mountain'. the lights are beautifulll!!! there's also ripley's believe it or not there
2. ocean park if u r into theme park.. its in between 2 hills, try the cable car, pretty cool!
3. HK disneyland, its near the airport.. its pretty much the smallest disneyland..if u like taking pics and have kids, this could be for u.. but if u r lookin for rides, go back to no.2
4. Stanley Market, Ladies Market, Tsim Tsa Tsui - street market. u could get cheap shirts or unique stuff here. i always go here for souvenirs..could get a good deal!
5. Lan Tau Island - u could play kite in this island as well as seeing a BIG Buddha statue.. very cool and relaxing!
6. Lan Kwai Fong district - if u r lookin 4 hip dining out and partying. Many expats there..busy everynite but hectic on weekends! but good vibe!
what u should now - they seem rude but they r not.. thats just the way they talk (yelling and rude). always bring coins because most of this place is reachable by MTR (their underground train), buss and tram. and they tend to speak basic english.. but these days they are getting better
and for food, do try the jumbo restaurant, the floating restaurant.. decent food, go 4 the experience www.jumbo.com.hk . and HK is full of great restaurant along the street!
for more spots to go, just visit www.discoverhongkong.com ! very informative website.. have fun wit your trip!

Hong Kong is relatively easy to navigate. Just bring a map with you. You gotta go to the Ocean Park at Hong Kong Island. Also, go to Disney Land. You should also go to The Peak, it is a very nice view at night.
What should you know?? Well, keep your eyes open and mind your wallet when you are in a street market. Don't flash your cash.

Very easy to travel around the island without joining a tour. Usually there's a free 1/2 tour if you buy a free & easy package, just join it to get more idea of places to go.
When shopping at Tsim Tsa Hsui (Hongkong Island), Ladies Street, Sports street & Night market at Temple Street or Mongkok (Kowloon), don't forget to bargain (unless in the shopping mall).
Try Ocean Park and Disneyland for fun.
Try their afternoon tea.... very delicious! especially the milk tea.

Have a nice visit in Hongkong.

Yes it will be easy travelling without a tour guide. At the airport, pick up every map and brochure that you like. And then bring your map and learn to ride the train. Many people speak English.
Ok, I'm gonna share my personal itinerary...
DAY 1
- go outside and look for Chinese restaurant, limit order, less than HK$50 may be good for two already
- HK Cultural Centre / Space Museum / Museum of Art (Tsim Sha Tsui)
- Walk around the area start at Canton Road turn left to Haiphong road and turn right to Nathan Road --- strip of shops
- Go to Granville (if you like export overruns)
- Ride bus 15C to Garden Road, go Peak tram going to Victoria Peak
- Visit Victoria Peak, ride the Peak Tram going up to the Peak
- After going down take a taxi to star ferry (HK$2.20 each) to go back to Kowloon side you may pass by Ocean Terminal
- Take bus 1, 1A, 2, 6 or 6A from Tsim Sha Tsui to Mongkok - shop til you drop!!!!! Eat dinner before going to the Lady’s Night Market. Haggle with the prices but you have to buy the item if you are allowed to haggle.
DAY 2 (whole day)
- Go to Shenzhen, take train going to Shenzhen (Hong Kong's Kowloon Tong KCR station to Lo Wu's border crossing)
- Or visit Ocean Park (HK$185 per person entrace 9am – 6:30 pm). One of the most spectacular oceanariums in the world with the largest marine theatre. It is also an amusement park perched around two mountain peaks, with an area of 870,000 square meters. A breath-taking 8-minute ride by cable car to the headland gives a glorious view of Repulse Bay, Deep Water Bay, Aberdeen and the South China Sea. Sealions, dolphins, sharks, penguins and killer whales are housed in stimulated environments similar to their natural habitat and will show off their spectacular tricks to thrill you at the Ocean Theatre. Also an excellent opportunity to see its two most popular guests – giant pandas An An and Jia Jia.
DAY 3
- Walk to the TsimShaTsui MTR station pay HK$11 each to get the pass going to Causeway Bay
- Follow the direction going to Causeway bay, transfer train after the next stop –Admiralty then just two stops away is Causeway bay.
- You may use the exit of SOGO, you may go out and explore the area to World Trade Center or cross the street to Mitsukoshi. Do not forget to go to Times Square.
- Go back to Tsim Tsa Tsui for Avenue of Stars and Symphony of Lights
DAY 4
- Go to Stanley Market or go back to the other shopping places mentioned
- Or go to Disneyland
