Chriztina, the million-dollar-question. It stays on women's minds when they are in a relationship, and men, well, it might cross their minds fleetingly during a commercial break while SportsCenter is on, or while flipping back and forth between pro Wrestling and the Cowboys game on Monday Night.
We often wonder when we first begin seeing someone when exactly those "little" things they do are going to stop. You know what I am talking about, girls. He's the first one up, making the coffee and bringing it to you. He likes that you wear his t-shirts to bed. And, you, well, you worry about clean sheets and making the bed. So, the little romance blooms. These little eccentricities begin to rear their little heads and light like little butterflies all over the relationship. Travel back in time with me, because this is where "love" begins to build it's foundation. The relationship grows. The "Honeys" and "Babys", and "Sweetums" keep on, keeping on, and the next thing you know, it's almost co-habitation. The little butterflies are every where. Here is where it can get nasty. Butterfly number one is his undies on the floor. You can't stand that one...uh uh...can you pick them up the rest of your life? Butterfly number 2 is your coffee mug on the nightstand from this morning....ewwww....he hates that....he isn't going to get it, he thinks you should since he brought you the coffee.....how do you work this one out? And the skirmishes begin. If you can live through these things, compromise, have a family, and manage to grow old together, you not only "love" each other my friend, you fall in love with each other again and again. Fifty or sixty years is a very long time. We are continually reinventing ourselves, not so that others can see us as something different from what we were, but so that we can see ourselves as we really are. This is how you know the difference between being "in love", and loving someone. If you can still pick up his socks, be angry because he left him there, and love him at the same time, then you will know the difference.

You are talking about the Two Types of Love-
Greek Translation 'Agape' is the Love you have for your Father,Mother,Brother,Sister or Close friend.
The Love You feel for a Woman or Man is 'ÏαÏάÏοÏα εÏÏÏεÏ
μÎÎ½Î¿Ï Î¼Îµ' (Sorry-I cant find the English Translation with trawling through my Library!
Hope this Helps

Loving someone seems to be a more stable and serene state. Being in love is more dramatic--suggestive of the early stages of a new relationship when emotions are running high and everything seems exciting and incredible.

It is two different types of love.
Loving someone is kinda like what you feel for your close family, a really close friend, or your pet.
Being in love with someone is different. It's a more passionate, make you crazy kind of feeling.

Loving someone you care about them and their well being, but being in love it is a feeling of tantalizing joy to be even around them and share moments with them...."its not the number of breaths we take but the moments that take our breath away".
