I've been there many times myself, when I was younger. I've paid the $900.00 fine for the same 2-violations many times. I don't like to buy insurance, but the law says we have to carry a State Minimum. That's what I carry now, even if my vehicle is new. I have never been taken to jail for the above mentioned 2-violations, but I've had to walk away from my vehicle many times, or they''ve towed me and let me walk. I'm glad those days are over,, I won't miss them. Hey a person has to do what they have to do. Good Luck!

I live in Connecticut and work for a PD as a dispatcher and i know here, if someone gets pulled over for expired tags their car gets towed and they are issued a summons for a court date (usually 2 weeks from the time of the stop). That is how it is done here....not sure about Oklahoma. Hope this helps

More than likely they will just give you tickets and a court date. Jails are too full for the little minor violations.

I live in Oklahoma as well and my answer is they will either take you to jail or impound your car. Either way, you are screwed. Good Luck!
