I am not going to discuss the merits of the alcoholic effect
since you have plenty of that above. I was a coffee trader
and cupper (taster) for forty years and know the quality and
brew of coffee in every country. In the UK, unless it is coffee
prepared in an expresso (Italian) style, it is brewed weak and
watery, a little stronger than tea. The quality of the beans is
good but the brew is watery which spoils the end result. So
I would say that drinking beer and washing down with coffee
must be terrible, it will only ruin your taste buds to appreciate
a good beer. The end result will be that you will have to attend
your toilet needs more often and be able to drink less beer. If
you are drinking lousy beer it will make it worse. If you have a
fine beer you will ruin it. So, the best you can do, which is wise
and advisable is to take some coffee only when you have
finished with the beer session. Only a little advice from a pro
taster. Incidentally, I am writing this from Brazil and only want
you to enjoy your beer, the two just don‘t mix well. Cheers, Iain

A coffee tastes so good after a bunch of beer but it won't sober you up. You'll just be wide awake and drunk.
I have a friend who in the morning will pour a shot of expresso into pint of guiness as a substitute for a morning coffee (he works in a bar). I tried it once and was disappointed to have ruined a good pint. I don't think it's likely good for your body. However, caffeine attacks the kidneys, alcohol attacks the liver so at least they're not hurting the same organ....

There is a saying in Switzerland to the effect that you can drink wine after beer, but shouldn't drink beer after wine. In the east of the country they put pomegranate syrup in the beer, but I never heard of anyone mixing beer and coffee! I remember a Swiss colleague ordering a coffee and a Calvados. The waiter brought her a cup of coffee? 'Where's the Calvados?' she asked. The reply was. 'In the coffee.'

It's not as tasty as, say, coffee and tequila. It's a bad mix if you think it will aid you on a sobriety test. On the other hand, alternating them is a good idea if you want to spend a lot of time in a tavern without getting too drunk.

Its actually a good thing to drink coffee after beer before bed. It helps a lot with the morning hangover makes it decrease a little bit. I forgot. Something about the caffinee is good for you.

Has anybody released a coffee-flavoured beer? No. That tells you all you need to know.

It is about equally as bad as mixing Vodka and Red Bull. You get really drunk (b/c the alcohol dehydrates you) and can't fall asleep (b/c of caffiene).
