Perhaps because there isn't any country that uses it exclusively yet. Why don't you purchase an island, import a bunch of people, force them to speak Pig Latin, and declare it your official language? Sounds like a good plan, don't you think?

Because Pig Latin is a variant on English, I believe (is there any other languuage that does Pig Latin that I don't know about?) that some smartass thought sounded like Latin.

Since no one is ever raised with Pig Latin as their first language, and no one uses it for official business, there's no reason it would be an official language.

Pig Latin is simply an adaptation of English. It's not a separate language from English.

In answer to the previous answerer's question, other languages do have games that are like Pig Latin, although they don't involve the exact same sound changes as Pig Latin.

it was outlawed by pope urban in the eleventh century because of it's confusion with the ambraic language which was not recognized by the catholic church. and which was spoken by the arabians and hallenisians of the upper mediterranean area of africa and asia, which was not under the control of the church at that time. it has survived through the centuries and was revived when the pilgrims came to america and is now understood by almost everyone.

I don't know, but it should be.

My friends and I made up a new one this past weekend that you should try. We call it "McLanguage". Go to the drive-thru and say something like this: McMay McI McHave McA McFlurry, McPlease? Lol...the drive-thru person was screaming in the microphone thing at us cuz she couldn't understand. It's stupid, I know...but you'll laugh, I promise it.
