Has anyone heard of it or tried it?
I am waiting to buy some but I want to know is it really worth the big bucks

Skin Medica is a great line that is used in mostly in professional settings (Dermatologist/Aesthetician).
It would be worth the money only if you are using their products specific to your skin type and are achieving/maintaining the results you want. There are so many skin care lines available, and they can't be all things to all people. Don't feel that you have to use the entire line. Cherry pick and decide what is the most relevant to your skin type.
The manufactorers will say that products are made within a line to complement each other, and this is true to a point. You may find that one or two items work just nicely with what you're already using.
