You can get a spray bottle of water and spray her with water and say no. Water is not cruel , but it will let the cat know not to sleep there and keep the door shut. Or maybe just always keep an eye on her. Theres a reason she's sleeping there , she's getting jealous of the baby and it's not good for a cat to be around the baby while the baby sleeps. .

I'm glad you are aware of the danger involved here, your baby can easily be smothered by the cat quite accidentally.
I personally would not take the chance.
Many believe that the unexplained cause of deaths in infants
was from cats in early years but has since been disputed by
many others as a myth, but personally I would not take any
chance with my own to dispel the myth. The risk may be minimal but certainly should not be ignored altogether.
Check with your local baby store and see if you can get a
strong, secure cat-proof net to put over the crib and keep you door closed to the room and install a baby monitor so you can
hear baby wake after sleep time.
Here is the website where you can get cat nets.

You've received a few good answers so far. The mosquito netting over the crib is one I've never heard before, but I think it's a great idea. Otherwise, just keep the door closed.
Please DO NOT put tinfoil anywhere. Some cats like to eat it.

get a squirt bottle.a little squirt in the tush a few times and kitty will get the hint.
but you need not worry to much, that whole myth that cats will steal a baby's breathe is an urban legend, never in history has it been recorded that a cat actually did that, cause the last thing a cat would want is a baby screaming, crying in their face.if anything the cat would just lick the baby's face, cause baby's smell like milk something they love.
my mom has had cats since i was born, they always slept with me,he would lick me then curl up,they must think they are helping to keep a baby worm.
you could always monitor kitty, just to see everything that he does.

get a baby monitor for by the crib, and close the bedroom door. if the cat can't get in the room it can't get into the crib.

as long as it does nothing to your baby.i would do nothing.when my child was still in the crib he slept better with the cat with him than without.but if you have a problem with it,buy a small squirt bottle or gun fill it with water and every time it goes in the crib give it a shot.this also helps when it goes for your furniture and curtains..

i had friends that had a cat and they put up a screen door to their little ones room. it worked out very well. so the cat won't open the door, put a hook lock on the outside of the door. with a screen door you keep the cat out and can still hear the baby.

You can get a screen door for the baby's room. There are also the curtain type mesh ones you can hang.
There are static electricity blankets that zap the kitty when they make contact. I give it twice and she won't jump in anymore.
Good luck

My kitty did the same thing. Keep the door closed, put tin foil over the bedding when it's not closed, spray her with water (both the water and the 'sppsssss' sound freak them out).
As long as my baby wasn't in the crib, I didn't worry too much. I had to wash the bedding more, but I didn't see her as a danger to my baby. She also slept in his changing pad all the time too.
Good luck!

When that happened to my friends baby she put a babygate on the door allowing her to get in and not her cat--But most cats just jump over.
It's not healthy for your baby. so just use a spray bottle.
Or like suggested buy similair bedding for trhat cat.
