Hi friends,
I'm basically from davangere and new to bangalore, need new gas connection for which they asked ration card. Many people r saying that its very difficult (or not even possible) to get ration card in banglore.
But in internet i read that government is issuing computerised ration card from 2006. If this is the case then cann't we get atleast normal ration card.
So anyone can plz help me...

Apply for transfer, with Ration Office, under Civil Supplies department. If you do not get it within 2 months, you send an application, to Right to Information Act officer, asking for general possible time, it takes for, issue and when it will be issued, to you.
For Gas Connection, with the acknowledgement, of your application to ration office, you should be able to get connection. Moreover, in place of Ration Car, they accept Bank Pass-book & Pass-port.

IT IS VERY DIFFICULT AND YOU CAN APLLY FOR TRANSFER OF RATION CARD
