I'm an insurance agent & play golf. But I played golf before I was an insurance agent. But why is that cliche'? Is it true that most business is conducted on the golf course?

Golf has become the game of choice for business interested people today. What other event could you do where you can talk openly with another person while waiting for the group ahead of you to clear the green? Just because it is so widely played by so many people it has become common, not cliche', so enjoy your game and I hope you pick up the tab for anyone playing with you, how about a game next week? Will you spot me 5 strokes?

I don't think it's as much as cliche as it is a stereotype. But just as they say doctors, lawyers and politicians play golf all the time, it is true. Golf is a business sport and, as a business person and a golfer, no business should be conducted on the golf course. It should be covered in the clubhouse afterwards.

Yes some play golf and some do not. A lot of business is conducted on the golf course. It's a great place to do it and a great place to get to know someone. Play a round of golf with someone and you will learn a lot about them. good and bad
