HI Adam...some cats are known to do this and some speculate it may be that they are more sensitive to the certain sound frequency produced by the sneeze. Here's a cat who meows in sleep when the owner sneezes: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Fks4LrHqacQ&mode=related&search=

My cat does the same thing or if I cough! I think its either a reflex of the pet that might startle them or they are saying something to us. I mean, some people think it is crazy that people think pets can "talk" to us but I really think they can if they understand you and you understand their habits. If you've had it for a while and its been in a room where you have sneezed before and someone says "Bless you," and you say "thank you" in return, it could be that your cat is copying that and meowing since it cannot say "Bless you."

That is just my theory, but I realized that with my cat as well and I think that could be somewhat accurate!

maybe he thinks you are in trouble, so it meows to show he cares. I'm not sure. Thats the most logical thing i can think of. Maybe it just gets nervous that you are making weird sounds.

your cat could be expressing alarm or in some cases, fear. my cat's really weird, all you have to do is move unexpectedly and she'll run for it. your cat could just be saying "bless you"

:D
