You don't say whether your family was like that also or if you are the only one. Don't be so quick to say it's a mental illness. First you need to evaluate/be evaluated to determine that. If you come from a background that is challenging and stressful it can be difficult to be positive. But you have been given the tremendous power of choice. Your mind allows you to decide what you will think about. If you think about negative things then you will become more negative. If you choose to think about positive things you will become more positive. However if you have jealousy, envy, bitterness or unforgiveness towards someone then it is not possible to block out those thoughts until you actually forgive that person(s) for anything they have done (or that you thought they did) to hurt you. That will help very much. Know also that God loves you. You are not an accident but made in the image of God. Although you may be going through difficult times right now remember that God is always there for you. So talk to Him. It is called prayer. All the best to you. Blessings, H

Sounds like Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Therapy is great but medication helps too. I have G.A.D. and O.C.D. but you would never know it by meeting me. Therapy and the right medication helped and I feel so much better. I had a super negative outlook, was impulsive and tried to run my ex-boyfriend over with a car. That was 17 years ago and now I am married to a physician and I am a stay-at-home mom with 2 gorgeous kids. Mental health should have no stigma attached to it. If you had cancer you would take medication for that right? Good luck to you!!

yes you have mental problems and the reason for this is disturbed family and lack of love in your life. Your problem will vanish or decrease the day you will get a caring and loving life partner. psychologist may send you to psychiatrist but remember the cure is in your hand. some hints and tips: keep your self busy in healthy activities such as sport or any other activity such as painting, drawing, walking (if possible with some normal friend), volunteer helping other. Keep your self so busy that you don't have time to let enter sick thought into your mind. Meditation: believe in God and pray daily. Wishing you all the best in life, take care, the healing may be slow but be courageous, Lord loves you and the world is for you. Search what is best for you in the world.

You may be suffering from depression. I suggest keeping up with your therapy. I have many of these same feelings as well and have been working through them with my physcologist and with medication for about 5 months now, and am starting to feel a bit better. You could have a long, hard road ahead, but remember that there are some of us out here that really understand you. You are NOT alone. Take care and good luck!

your beauty has given you the opinion that
1.people will use you for gratification and not commit (looking at the negative)
2.you are getting tired and frustrated at trying to find someone that would give their soul to spend the next fifty years with you, and cant understand why people are blind to how loyal and loving you are (anger problems)
3.you are feeling time going by and are anxious to fullfill your desires of a peaceful home, loving family, and faithful husband (impulses)

Depression or post-traumatic stress disorder.
Depression would be for all of the symptoms, but probably not the anger part. If it's depression an antidepressant will help.
PTSD is if you had a stressful abusive relationship, near-death accident, witnessed a death, were in a plane crash, were in wartime, etc. You need to be counseled for that. I hear of one situation where a flight attendant survived a plane crash; the psychologist bought her a pillow for hitting (survivor guilt and PTSD problem).
If this is the information that you need, please rate it. Thank you.

You might not have a mental illness. You might not have a personality disorder either, which is not technically considered a mental illness, but the closest personality disorders I could think of are histrionic personality disorder or narcissistic personality disorder perhaps, but probably none. Just stressed out like others have said.

I do not know what mental illness it may be, but I have read that some of those same symptoms can occur with a blood sugar condition called hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).
I flipped from hypoglycemia to diabetes, but still have control problems at times. The negativity has been relieved by my keeping my blood sugar relatively level.
www.hufa.org has some info about low blood sugar. Definitely consider checking out the symptoms link.
