I'm going through that very same thing so I know how it feels! There may be alot of reasons for you guys not to be together (if that's what you're parents are thinking) but what matters the most is the feelings you have for each other and if it's mutual....if you feel its for real then you wouldn't care what your parents think or say and you'd go ahead with it. You're parents don't get to choose who you fall in love with...right? Try to talk to your parents about it and see what they really think and hear out what they have to say...then you give your point of view and how you feel...they still might not be okay with you dating this guy but it's worth a try! Good luck with whatever you choose to do!

sometimes parents can see things we can't see about people. we need to trust our parents, had i trusted my parents more perhaps i wouldn't have made some of the mistakes i made early on in life. had i listened to my dad about certin guys, maybe i wouldn't have been in some of the messes i got in. if i could go back in time, and know what i know now i would listen more to my parents, after all they want the best for us, only whe we are young we don't really see it that way.

It depends on how old you are. If you are under 21, then you should trust your parents, & listen to what they say. If you are over 21, then you are old enough to make your own mistakes, as long as you learn from them.

Try to figure out why they don't like him usually it is for a good reason they have seen lot's of guys alot like him.
