There are many dogs in your town or city next to you , find one you like and take it.
Just kidding
Im sure if you can't find your lost dog there is really a stray someplace that needs a good loving home, or at local shopping centers people try and get rid of nice puppys.
They might not be a purebred but alot of great dogs have or are a mixed breed (mutts)
Call your local animal shelter for your missing dog, the police, and the dog pound/ dog catcher and describe it to them.
Good luck and who gave me a thumbs down?

By law, you should have had her micro-chipped the day you got her. If she was micro-chipped, you can go to your local RSPCA or SPCA and they can scan it (not sure how but that's what they do) and can get the location.

If she wasn't micro-chipped, I guess the only thing you can do is scan her best photo (not wearing a sweater or any accessories) and print 100 or so and make flyer's's. Stick them around parks, on pet shop windows, shop windows etc. Make sure you have permission to put the flyer on shop windows first.

Then just hope some kind person will return your Chihuahua. Maybe pull some money together and offer a reward of $50 or so.

Because Chihuahua's are so expensive and so many people want one but can't afford one, maybe whoever may find her will decide to keep her. Though this is very selfish of that person. A lot of people go 'kidnap' Chihuahua's and other expensive breeds because they can not afford one.

If you do not find her, I am deeply sorry. However, if you got a job (if you are over 15 years old) you can save up a few hundred dollars and buy another dog. Maybe not a Chihuahua.

If you DO get another dog, be sure to MICRO-CHIP her/him as this will help you find it if it gets lost. Even though I feel sympathetic towards you, you really should have micro-chipped your dog, not only if something like this ever happens, but by law, you have to micro-chip your pets so I do not feel as if you did the right thing as her owner.

Try finding the dog that ran away, first of all.

If your mom just lost her job, it wouldn't be a good idea to bring another pet into your home right now. How do you expect to feed it without an income?

Call your local shelters and vets and see if anyone's brought in a dog matching your dog's description. If not, tell them what your dog looks like, and what name she responds to. If possible, drop off pictures of your dog to every shelter and vet in your area (maybe even a few surrounding ones) so that if someone DOES bring her in at a later date, the staff will recognize her and know to contact you. Put flyers up wherever possible.

If you do find your dog again, make sure to have her microchipped when you have the money.

Good luck!

I dont know where Elena lives at but I know in GA and TN it is not required by law that you have your pets micro-chipped. Its preferred but not law. Put up flyers around your neighborhood. Maybe someone will call. If you get her back make sure that she has proper tags. She will need an ID tag with your name address and phone number on it and make sure that she has her rabies tag too. You can get both from your vets office. If animal control runs across a dog without id then they take them to the pound. It wil cost you money to get the dog out of "doggy jail". Between $50 to $100 depending on where you live. They also may require that you either get her shots through them or provide proof of current shots before they let her go home. How did you loose her? Did you let her outside or something. Anyways good luck finding her. I would go crazy if my dog ran away.

Check the dog pound first. Then hopefully you have some pictures of it where you can make copies and be sure to give one of the copies to the dog pound in case someone brings it in there after you've already been there with your number on it. But still continue to call them in case the picture gets misplaced or set aside. Also post the pictures in places like the grocery store, and any business where they'll allow you to place it. Like quick marts and gas stations and such. Good luck to you and I hope you find your puppy happy and safe. ;o)

Aw I am sorry to hear that! =(

What if you adopted one from an animal shelter? That shouldn't cost too much and sometimes shouldn't cost anything at all.

Did you try asking neighbors and store owners if they've seen your puppy? Try checking animal shelters as well if anyone has turned in a puppy. Also post up posters in stores (get permission first) and see if anyone has seen your puppy!

I hope things get better for you and I am sorry about your puppy =(
