I am under the impression she does not want to share my brother with no one. He is not allowed to have friends and visit family. Our parents are deceased and family was important to him then. They now have a baby and says he has no time for our family. We see him about 6 or 7 times a year and he lives near by. My family loves him but are not to happy about their new attitude. We are having a dinner tomorrow and my brother wanted to just show up when my family heard they insisted he call them before just showing up. Being that they have not heard from him in a year. His wife got upset and decided not to call or show up. My family is not the perfect family but overall we have no drugs, drinking or anything crazy like that to influence our thoughts. I told my brother he was not invited and my sister in law ? me. He never did such a thing. Then he ? me. I then told him I told him because I dont want anyone screaming at him. Was I wrong to tell my brother that I always talk 2

ok, so i lost you there at the end, but... there is always someone who gets all weird & acts distant to the family. they usually have other issues & i really suggest just staying out of it all & avoid such drama. making a fuss is only going to piss the brother off instead of making him WANT to be around the family. you can't assume it is only the woman who wants to keep him to herself. unless he says that. there may be much more to the situation than what you realize. so, i would just enjoy the family you have & accept your brother for the decisions he chooses to make.

Where are you from? I think that's a very important part of the answer because every society deals with this differently.

If I was doing this to my sister (only one that too younger) she would beat me up on the middle of the road.
