life... Anyways my next question is if this was just a symbol then why didn't Jesus say to the Jews when they questioned "how he can He give his flesh to eat" that he actually meant it as a symbol not his real flesh/body ....but instead he just pushed on the concept saying if you don't eat His Flesh and Drink His blood you will not have no eternal life a.k.a. you will have no life

51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. 52 If any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever; and the bread that I will give, is my flesh, for the life of the world. 53 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying: How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 54 Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say unto you: Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you. 55 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath everlasting life: and I will raise him up in the last day.

He may have said this to test to see if his true followers would remain with him. And true enough, only his loyal followers stayed with him, although they may not have known all that Jesus said. Jesus did not always offer immediate explanations for his illustrations. If his true disciples wanted to know what he meant, they asked him to explain himself.
