Just wondering what are some foods you ate when you went to college or currently eat while at college.

List anything, from the infamous Top Ramen Noodles In a Cup to something possibly delicious you've conjured up.

I hate eating unhealthy but many times am too lethargic to actually prepare a meal.

So please, list anything that a college student can make/eat and tastes well, or is a healthy or whatever.

Thanks!

I can't give you any recipes but I can tell you that all college students need a tabletop convection oven.It is small and round and fits ontop of a desk. Just plug in.All you do is put anything you want to cook in it and turn it on and it will cook for you with air. No grease. You can put corn dogs, chicken tenders, whole chicken, french fries, pizza, etc, and it will cook and brown it. It is the best invention but not many people know about it. check out these two web sites, the brands place and abc distributing. I buy mine at 1-877-776-7809 for $86.80 but abc has them for $50.00 check into it. I promise you will love it...

TUNA SANDWICHES
-Can of tuna, some mayo, relish, bread and that's it. You can also add in hard-boiled eggs, onions, and celery. yumm

Also, you should get some rice and a mini rice cooker. You can eat rice with anything. Get some tofu and cook it with some eggs and a little bit of oyster sauce. It tastes great with rice and it's easy to make. I'm pretty sure it' healthy too.

You should also buy a bag of frozen stir-fry vegetables. Just cook them in a pan with some oyster sauce.

oyster sauce, by the way, is sold in a bottle and is available at many/most Asian supermarkets. I seriously put it on everything. It's very flavorful.

Something that I always liked that was quick, cheap and fast was to cook some rice, (I like instant rice, or the rice in a package) heat up a can of Chunky Soup (like beef, or Salisbury steak) mix in a bowl and top with some cheese.

Chili Mac is another easy thing I like to cook. All you do is to boil some spaghetti noodles and drain. Then heat up a can of store bought chili and top the noodles with the chili. (also, you can top with cheese)

If time and energy permits, you can make a ghetto Shepperd's pie. Cook instant mashed potatoes and put in a bowl. Heat up a can of corn, drain and put in the bowl. Put in cooked ground beef. (or substitute bacon, since bacon microwaves well). Mix in a bowl, and top with cheese. This is one of my favorites.

Something healthier? A peanut butter and banana sandwich on whole wheat bread is pretty good.

Here's something I like to make for breakfast that is easy, cheap, and healthy. Get a cup of cottage cheese (I like large curd) mix in 1/4 to 1/3 (or a handful) of raw oats and some fresh chopped fruit, or raisins. Mix in a bowl, let sit a few minutes for the oats to soften and eat. It tastes better than it sounds and it is full of protein, and slow digesting carbs.

If none of this suits you, you can make a healthy drink! All you do is mix 1 shot of vodka, 3 shots of tomato juice, a dash of Worcestershire sauce, a squeeze of lime juice and Tabasco to taste! Mix with ice and serve with a garnish of celery! This HAS to be healthy! You get veggies (tomato juice and celery) and citrus from the limes! :-)

I hope this helps!

I used to make this and feed it to my roommates in college. I told them it was a five mushroom pizza and didn't tell them about the snails. Four cheese, four mushroom, Escargot Pizza. Cook the escargot till almost crunchy in garlic and butter. Cook the mushrooms in the snail butter. Grease the pizza pan with the snail butter. Spread the dough, top with pizza sauce, add grated cheeses (your choice) top with mushrooms, escargot and bake until perfect. Open some good red wine and enjoy.

how bout a pita sandwich... stuffed with crispy slices of chicken n some vege?

1. dip strips of chicken in flour, and then in beaten egg, and then in the flour again.. double-dipping the chicken makes it super crispy

2. fry them in a pan till golden brown and leave aside

3. cut pita bread into half.... take one half and stuff it with shredded lettuce, tomatoes etc

4. squeeze in mustard, mayo and chilli sauce

5. add in 2-3 strips of fried chicken... enjoy!!

instead of using pita bread, toss them all together and you hv chicken salad! or you can substitute the fried chicken with tuna! just mash the tuna with some mayo!! yum!

this is one of the simplest, cheapest and easiest recipes ever!!
