yeah, this question is asked tons of times.
my version is a little different. I have hair that in the front comes just below my ear, and in the back goes to the bottom of my neck. My hair is also very thin. what do u guys do with your hair? I relax mine every month or so and wash it 2-3 weeks. When it is not relaxed, i just leave it down(even though it flys up when i'm walking). I hardly braid it. Any tips, websites, etc. would be good! :)

BIG RED FLAG! Do not relax your hair. That is one of the worse things that us african american women can do to our hair. Just find a style that fits you that is what I do. It took me years to finally learn how tp style my hair. Wash it and try not to put too much heat on your hair to perserve it's health. Or you could go and ask a professional for tips. But don't relax your doo!

1 For a easy quick look pull into a bun and get a hair piece I bought one from the flea market for 1.00 and most people don't even know

2 Go to a salon and have them put a relaxer in it and add some tracks (hair extensions)
like Tyre & Beyonce

? did you mean u wash ur hair 1 time every 2 to 3 weeks or you wash it 2to 3 times a week
well for me I find my hair looks so much better when it is washed at least every 4 days and relaxed about every 6 weeks and when i relax it my self i use Optium Care but the salon specializing in black hair will do a much better job also have them trim it and it will grow

I have a question, I don't want to sound naive. Are you mixed race? My grand-daughters are mixed race and they have three
texture and it is easy to comb the oldest hair, the baby's hair is
barely growing. Anyways my daughters uses BB'S Hair lotion
to calm her hair. And if she is going to have her hair braided
then she would use hair grease or she will use it even when she
was just going to comb her hair in a pony tail, so her hair would'
be slick back and comb in a bun. So try it and see how you like
it. She has really curly hair, but if you pick it when it is dried
then you can make an Afro. They are 50% Mexican/American/
25%African/American/25%White.

take it easy on the relaxing, try to extend the time to at least 8-10 weeks and then only relax new growth
try to do a hot oil treatment prior to washing and wash and condition it every week until it improves. olive oil works great prior to washing. let is soak in as long as u can(cover with a plastic cap, dont wet the hair) then wash ans condition, i did this weekly for about 6-8 weeks and my hair is much improved!!

Why are you relaxing so often...I usually relax every 8-10 weeks...Not much new growth after 4 weeks...If you hair is thin, try roller setting it with mousse to give it more volume...and find a good beautician. Good luck!
