Bidis are a poor man's cigarettes, esp. farmers. It contains tobacco wrapped in a tabacco leaf. Since they do not have a filter, they do not have chemicals found in a filter. Personally, I have come across very few people who have been diagnosed with cancer due to smoking bidis. The most common thing I've noticed is a phelmy cough at old age.

From this occurance rare I would say. But a long term choice of smoking, period, would raise your chances dramatically. Not only habits of this type but also family history disposing you to other family genes plays a role also in what types of cancer or illnesses you are subject to.

Don't smoke anymore! You'll be fine. No worries on trying one. Smoke more and you run the risk of becoming addicted and thats when you worry about lung cancer.

You're not going to get lung cancer from smoking them in one setting but stop smoking them now so you don't have to worry.

lol your going to be fine, well, i hope so anyways,,,you typically dont start to develope cancer cells form the toxins until youve smoked for awhile and the toxins build up . Unless cancer runs very very highly in your family, then your prone to develope the cells quickly, in that case, second hand smoke will kill you in a good while.

Any time you inhale smoke into your lungs, it is bad for you. Bidi's may be tobacco free, and there for not as addictive as cigarettes, but any time you inhale burnt vegatation into your lungs, it is bad for you.
