You are lucky to have such caring parents even though it probably doesn't feel that way right now. Your parents love you very much and want to protect you. They probably are having a tough time dealing with the fact that you are growing up and soon you'll be out on your own. They want to keep you at home safely with them for as long as they can. Try to be patient with them. Hopefully, you can be in another play next year and maybe by then your parents will feel comfortable letting you out of their sight for a few hours. If not, here is a suggestion. Invite them to go along as chaperones. They will see for themselves that you aren't in any danger and they'll be more likely to let you go with your friends in the future (especially if they have met the friends and know their parents).

Sometimes Parents can be over protective have you given them any reason to not trust you?
If you havent why don't you talk to them and let them know how you feel try to do every thing in your power to let them trust you such as call them while your at Perkins maybe even let them drop you off and pick you up
if they are your freinds they will understand
and persistance will usually work parents hate to be asked the same thing over and over and over etc again
well Good luck

Uhhhhh....did you tell your parents that you will never see your friends again? Other then that I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get to go. That sucks...I hate it when my parents do that to me. I get all mad about it, but then again there the ones who protect us. So you where in a play..that's cool. Where you the star of it or what? Other then that Congratz on the play.
Peace out super star!

Maybe you can convince your parents to let you have a get together at your house. It may make them feel better to view your interaction with the seniors. Good luck.

you should have a party with all your friends. i know what it's like being the only one who couldn't go, too. you get through it and it gets better.
