when someone says "you're very striking" are they lying or what do they mean. please help, very confused by this

They usually mean you are either beautiful or handsome. Depending on if you are a man or women. Some people to lie. But most of the time people give compliments because they mean it.

it just means they find you very attractive i think you seem insecure and dont no how to take a compliment im the same.
