buy a gentle home permanent, and use a wide toothed comb and put the solution on and comb your hair straight. Follow the perm directions for timing and neutralizing etc. And wear an old t-shirt or smock you dont care about - and try not to get any solution on the carpet or floor.
I used to use a Revlon perm with the glass ampule of conditioner, I dont know if they still make it - but it worked great!
(ive since given up and deal with my natural curl, but when I was determined this worked very well for me)

I had it done once and all it does is dry out your hair. Its the same perm chemicals they just keep combing them through your hair instead of rolling with curlers. I only had a natural wave to start and ended up with a natural wave with a touch of the frizz.
