Please don't judge me and leave hateful comments, I'm not in the mood right now for it.
I'm a virgin, but I'm getting pretty serious with my boyfriend (we've been close for years, and I love him unconditionally). I'm really worried that if I have sex, it's going to hurt alot...because I'm pretty sure I still have my hymen.
Sad thing is...I'm not sure if I do or not. I think if I do, it's partially broken anyway...since they have to be if you have your period.
I know this sounds crazy, and gross...but I want to break it myself before I have sex with him, because I want it to be a beautiful thing between us, not painful. I don't want to cry or bleed during my first time with him, because I love him and I want this to be a loving and happy experience for both of us.
How do I break it?

I'm happy to hear you found a man you think is worthy of such a gift.
You have been misinformed about what virginity really is though, even though you have your period your hymen is still intact. If you're really ready you will allow everything to happen "naturally" on it's own. Part of being with somebody for your first time is sharing emotion, passion, love and yes unfortunately the slight pain. If he cares for you at all he will be gentle if you sit down and discuss it before you jump into each others arms. Don't have sex if you can't handle a bit of blood and pain cuz you would forever regret missing out on the one time only event that breaks you out into the world of womanly completion.
I didn't find my first time too painful and the pain went away quickly, but he was gentle and it was done with love and respect.
Good luck to you Hun and remember to use birth control! (sorry if I sound like I'm preaching but you don't want a beautiful event to turn into a lifetime event!)

The hymen is merely a membraneous layer in women - regardless of the shown fact that maximum oftentimes broken throughout preliminary sexual intercourse, it is broken definitely besides. that's a toughened membrane yet there are no rights or wrongs - extremely every person's different and it is not no longer often customary for the hymen to be ruptured without bleeding. No such element as a desirable technological expertise, and so on. cheers gray

sex the first time is wierd and awkward and the last worry would be the hymen so don't worry about it in advance.
Worry more about birth control. Review your options. If you aren't on the pill, buy some condoms and spermicidal jelly (inserted like a tampon) and get comfortable with those items before sex. Your first time is not the time you want to be fumbling with a box reading directions. Educate yourself about birth control and sexually transmitted diseases--that is what you really need to worry about.

It's not true that your hymen breaks when you have your period. It might break on its own if you're in high-activity sports like horseback riding, or if you use tampons (which aren't recommended for girls under 16). You can gradually stretch it with your fingers over a period of time.
When you do end up having sex, insist that your bf use a condom. It helps if you're relaxed and he's very gentle with you.

Boyfriends may come and go, have pride in yourself and wait until you are married. Just think this way, that boy friend could leave you anytime and all his life he may recall he took your virginity and all your life you will think that you gave it to him. A patient lover will and should work with you so it will not hurt so much, often a younger man just jumps on it fast.

let him do it. Its kinda a special thing for a guy to be the first one, and its really not painful at all. The majority of pain involved in the first time is from lack of foreplay and anxeity. Let him bring you to a climax before he enters you, it will losten you up and get you wet enought so it wont hurt. USE BIRTH CONTROL!!!!!

If you use tampons, it's gone. Sex your first time hurts anyways, unless you have masturbated or he has fingered you to kind of "loosen" the area. It's the tightness that hurt me. If you relax & you have foreplay to get wet first, you will be fine. Best wishes!

Insert your fingers, maybe three of them. Use a lubed comdom if bare fingers freak you.
