They act just like people do in movies and TV when they are possessed. its is so obvious they are just copying what they see. It just like how 50 years ago, every alien sighting, the alien was described as a hideous monster (just like TV) and now days every alien is skinny with a triangular head with almond shaped eyes (just like the movies). I think people are confusing TV with reality, expecially those nutty christians

Although you have a point (that many people are mentally ill and/or influenced by television), possessions have occurred long before television and films. Some of them are for real.
