I just want to say thank you. Thank you for protecting me and my family, for protecting our rights, and for going through hell so that I don't have to. You have my utmost respect.

Like the others said, a simple thank you says so much. I am currently serving in Afghanistan, my thrid deployment to this region. I am proud to be in the military, and my wife is proud of me. We voluteer to be in the military, it is difficult at times. But we are still very proud. Saying thank you to a veteran means the world to him or her. Thank you for your appreciation. You dont have to agree with what we do. But the american public need to be proud of their soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen. And realize that we are here to deter harm that may fall upon the american public. Think about this, the military comprises of less than one percent of the american people. Anyways, thank you for your and and your families support.

Dont forget to give a shout out to the military familes who go through their own personal version of hell as well.

Some times a simple thank you seems like it is not enough. However for those like me do appreciate your gesture of saying thank you to me and all those like me who did serve overseas.
