I want to know because my friend asked me the other day why I believed in God (shs's an atheist) and I couldn't up with anything. So I wanted to know what makes you believe in God?

I believe in God because, look around, there's creation. Everywhere I look (In nature) I see beauty. I see perfection. I see an artist. I don't believe anyone that tells me there's no God when I see Him in everything in nature. We (humans) are extraordinary creatures. We have the ability to taste, hear, smell, see, and feel all sorts of wonerful things (and we haven't begun to explore them all. We are made wonderfully and I just don't see how that people believe that there is no God, No artist. (also the Bible speaks of The Almighty God, Jehovah (Psalms 83:18))
I believe in Jesus as the son of God, and the one that helped make it possible to be cleansed of our sins through his great sacrifice

When someone says they "believe" in Jesus, it means they believe in Jesus' Redemption and that He is Lord and Savior. There are very few who don't believe that He dwelt on Earth as a man and that He was crucified.

This belief is based on the acceptance of the Holy Scriptures as the Word of God and the Truth. So, really the belief in God is the acceptance of the fundamental teachings of the Bible without alteration or rejection of the Word. Note, I say fundamental teachings because there are slight differences in translations but these do not affect the overall teachings in the bible.

His Word is powerful and if one considers it Truth and does not reject or skepticize it than the conclusion is to believe He has saved us from our sins through His death (John 3:16). One must also conclude that He is God (Matthew 28:18, Colossians 2:9).

I accept God as my personal deity of worship because He shall never forsake me (Psalm 37:28), His prevailing love (1 John 4:16), and He has prepared a place for me with Him when my spirit departs of this body (John 14:2).

I believe because I believe the Bible is the true Word of God.

kay kay ;)

reason 1*
How can a living, seeing, loving, human being come from particles that came from nothing at all? We are built too perfectly for it to be a mistake of nature. We can also sustain our population because we can reproduce. How in the world can anything but a God make something so truly prefect?

reason 2*
Many people think belief in God is a crazy fairytale. If you think about it though, it really isn't that crazy. I mean, imagine telling someone in the past that we live on a globe floating in midair in a black, endless space. Everything we don't understand seems crazy.

God bless, Val

I was asked that a long time ago. The only honest thing I could think of was "because that's what I was told." It didn't take me long after that to realize I brainwashed. Why don't you instead opt for believing in peace and love? It can help heal the world and no one will ever question whether these things exist. We have all felt their touch at one point or another.

I believe because I know He is real and that HE is there for me and anyone else who really wants to know Him. The Bible tells us that even if we did not have the Bible there is enough all around us to let us know that GOD is real and that the things around us were definitely created by a supreme being. I heard a Preacher say that a person with an experience is never at the mercy of a person with an argument.

you hear on the news evil is real ,i mean really really real
so what is a good person to do but try to be on the side of good,
loving neighbour cannot cause death
but hating neighbour just creates more
so we can say i dont believe in god but im still good right
wrong you are an egsample as part of the body in christ for our father
we are a body of love and grace ,we perhaps are at times too trusting
as are the people of islamb
there will allways be a few faulse people in any belief
but as a start you are part of a body that mostly follows the teaching of love
love thy neighbour
if your not loving this adds to the body of satan ,who is not real but only by casting aside love can become real as reflected in what we see on the news
just as good is the body of goodnes love and truth
,evil will allways seek to divide ,ie fear hate envey and all that other stuff we see revealed in the bible when we stop loving
the word is a record more of what happens when faith and truth become hate ,but it also reveals the way of god to be the good of that jesus revealed
the way
stay a part of the body of christs good or do nothing and make that evil /let evil sin

I take a very rare stance as I am an Atheist who believes in the teachings of Christ through my own speculative interpretation.
It's ones prerogative to choose ones own moral and spiritual
beliefs . the God in dispute is the hinge of the debate . modern
definition defies logic to my thinking...the only god I could believe in is not the common understanding but akin to Spinoza or Einstein and the former was considered an Atheist as well.

I came to first know the Father after I met Jesus and I began to love God because of His sacrifice.

I beleive I have my hands because of God and the Angeles. I fooled around with explosives and they went off, but not competely. They stopped short of taking away my hands.

I was driving too fast and the Angeles moved me out of the way of antoher car.

I did nothing except put on the breaks. My car moved on its own to the side.

I can't help but beleive.

Because he sent his son to die for me when he did not have to.
Although this world is the way it is he still continues to bless me and show me who he truly is. He protects me, and has made me fearless. He Loves me regardless of my sinful nature, and is showing me how to become more and more like his SON everyday.
He is and was there for me when I thought I was alone, and made me Happy when I was Sad, fed me when I was hungry, and filled me with his Knowledge and Love when I was lost. I can go ON!!!!! He Created me, he Loves me more than I could ever Love myself!!!!

Hope this Helps!!!!!
