OK, so I just can't make up my mind, I keep going back and forth. I will be getting some Picardie glasses from Crate&Barrel and/or William-Sonoma. They both carry them, but in different sizes. Here's a link to Crate&Barrel's page where they are shown http://www.crateandbarrel.com/family.aspx?c=150&f=13138 Now, I want to get 3 different sizes. The available sizes are 5.5oz, 7oz, 8.5oz, 10oz, 12oz, 16oz, and 17.5oz.
I know I want to get the 17.5oz, but it's for the two smaller ones that I can't decide.
Something to note is that I will occasionally be using these to drink wine, like they did in Europe in the old days (my husband and I just don't drink enough wine that it would be worth getting real wine glasses).
SO, should I get
A) 5.5oz and 10oz
B) 7oz and 10oz
C) 7oz and 12oz
D) 8.5 oz and 12oz
If you can, please tell me why you think which sizes would be be best.
Thanks!

seven and ten ounce - most practical, and can be used for most variety.

To be completely honest I do not like these glasses at all. They just aren't pretty to me. (not saying to be rude just giving an opinion) As far as the wine. It doesn't matter if you only occasionally drink it. When you do you just feel better drinking it from the proper glass. Just buy two wine glasses. There are stores that sell them individually. I only drink champagne occasionally but when I do it makes me feel special to drink it from my champagne flute. Hope this helps. Take care.
