There are Christians who believe in the Bible fundamentally, in that everything in it is 100% true. The problem with that is that the Bible oftentimes contradicts itself, so you'd be hard pressed to read it cover to cover and not be a little confused. Then, there are Christians who believe in the spirit of the Bible and the example of Jesus Christ. They understand that the Bible was written for a certain audience in a certain time. The Bible was not written in a time where modern science existed, for instance, the concept of sexual orientation was not something that was known during the time the Bible was written.

There is a bit of disagreement in the wide spectrum of the Christian faith about who gets to get married.
There are commandments against male to male sexual relationships in the book of leviticus. However, there are lots of other purity laws that we don't follow as 2oth century americans in Leviticus as well.
The passages in Paul that get quoted as condemning homosexual behavior also may be referring to the practice of male prostitution adn the exploitation of boys as sexual serfs, a popular practice in the greco-roman world.
There are many ministers who believe that a loving committed relationship should be blessed by God via a marriage ceremony, no matter the gender or orientation of the people making the committment, and that some of these biblical texts ahve been misinterpreted, misunderstood, or as the puirty laws go, are not necc. relevant in today's world Others disagree. Both groups of clergy can make reasoned theological arguments to support their arguments. Calling people you disagree with "a wolf in sheep's clothing" does not help the debate.

There is so much that is messed up in Religion and Churches today you just have to be sincere to want to know the truth. The Catholic church has covered up so much that very few know the truth any more. If you want the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help you God go to http://www.essene.org for the lost teachings of Christ.

There are many churches allow gays married. There are some that don't allow it. A person can pick any church they like, they all teach values about living; like not to judge other people. But our culture does not run on church doctrine.

Some churches have very twisted understandings of the Bible and incorporate that in doctrine. Look at Jahovahs witness, Mormans, and others. For pete's sake the episcopalion church is stemmed from Henry the 8th wanting a divorce

If I were you I'd begin by narrowing my definition of "Christian." Although becoming a Christian is a simple matter of one's putting one's faith in Jesus Christ, people who serve in the priesthood ought to know what God clearly teaches better and be more sensitive to it. I'm sorry that Christianity has been so misrepresented by the minority that it's caused this confusion.

You are right, it would be wrong for anyone to condone this behavior, because the Bible clearly teaches that it is wrong...
Romans 1:26-32: "26 That is why God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; 27 and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full recompense, which was due for their error.
28 And just as they did not approve of holding God in accurate knowledge, God gave them up to a disapproved mental state, to do the things not fitting, 29 filled as they were with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, badness, being full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malicious disposition, being whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, insolent, haughty, self-assuming, inventors of injurious things, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, false to agreements, having no natural affection, merciless. 32 Although these know full well the righteous decree of God, that those practicing such things are deserving of death, they not only keep on doing them but also consent with those practicing them.

And divorce, whats you bibles opinion about that? Whats you bibles opinion about the material of the clothes you are wearing on you back? About the food you eat? About how you are supposed to hide away from the community after giving birth to a girl? Dont try and sideline the issues in society today with your bible it doenst wash. since very veyr feew Christians actually live by how the bible stipulates, I find it amusingly bigotted when such questions are asked.

First, you should identify which church.
Second, some "churches" use concepts from the Bible that support their agendas. People want to rationalize their behavior and use the Bible to this end.

It isn't against "God" to be gay. I just feel bad for the homosexuals who are religious, because there is no "afterlife".
