I was told that for every shot of straight alcohol, it'll take about 1.5-2 hours to get out of your system.

Depends. If you pass out, you usually sweat all the alcohol until its out your system. If you drink without going over the line, then it will stay longer but the effect wont be as bad, maybe 24 hrs at most.

if you are found to be intoxicated, the law says you must be in jail for 4 hours. now i don't know if the alcohol stays four hours or they get sick of you for four hours. anyway you are allowed to make your bail at four hours>. i do think that if we drink late at night, a part of the alcohol is in our systems the next morning when we go to work. that's scary. it's legal to sell the stuff, but don't drink and drive? dah..

so if you have a major session you can well over the limit well into the next evening so depends what drink also how big or small your body is

so if you have ten you will it will take the better part of twenty four hours to break it down

It depends on several things like weight, metabolism, food on stomach, etc. There is no one timeframe like 2 hours.
