Dude it is how it is, I am boring to, so I know how it is. Watch the news, talk about something interesting like a hot new game show, or even start watching Grey's anatomy.
Just don't talk about random objects, like teeth, or carpets, then you should be fine. O you know what's good learn how to tell a joke.
Damn I just read your PS, if I could do it over again I would never have put this answer here.

Think about your strong points and your interests. Do you play sports or have artistic or musical talent? Are you active in a church or volunteer in the community. Maybe you've been somewhere interesting for a vacation. Maybe just pick out a thought provoking question from Y!A. Even family can be interesting if you think about the story ahead of time and put a little spin on it. Don't write out a script and rehearse lines, just put a little thought into what you want to say. Most people want to talk about themselves so if you just have a quick little story about yourself and turn the spotlight back on your date, that's fine.

In general, people LOVE to talk about themselves. With anyone you meet you can use this to your advantage! The best part is that it doesn't have to take much to start dialogue. Start with something like "what kind of stuff do you like to do on weekends?" After they answer, you can do one of two things:
1. Agree with them, elaborate on it, and let the conversation flow from there. . .
2. If you like to do something else over the weekend, tell them about it!
Lastly, keep an open mind! You're more likely to keep a conversation going if the other person feels like you understand where they are coming from.
For example--"I've never really done that over the weekend, but it sounds cool. . . "
It makes them feel more comfortable around you and that feeling allows them to share more with you (than they normally would with other people).

Why would you still like him if he drives you nuts? Obviously there's no point in trying to go out with him because he'd probably wouldn't put any commitment into it. You should stop liking him! If you still wanna give it a try, try to talk to him about something he's interested in to evoke a conversation.

you need to get a few hobbies...how about sports? good movies? read up on your history and trivia? go out with friends and hike or camp? collect old and rare things, prehaps vintage articles? have an all girl sleepover and watch chick flicks? go to the gym? buy a journal and write down thoughts?
these are all ideas that might get you on the right track
and i don't think you are boring at all..in fact, i've felt that way about myself at times, just never had the courage to say it!!!
bless you!

I bet you're not boring.
I bet you're like a lot of other people and you just need to observe situations and people before you can interact with them. Pay attention to what kinds of things they respond to and strike up conversations with them. Whatever you do, don't be fake. I'd rather be around a "boring" person than a fake person anyday.

Develop your interests and find people who share them. Don't try to force yourself to be interested in what others like - that will make you boring because you will lack the enthusiasm you need to sparkle. Learn to like yourself more, too, as self-confidance shines like a beacon to others.

Just keep dating and going to social gatherings, then eventually you'll learn what fun is, and how to interact in a way that isn't so boring.

Develop some interests, like board games, sports, outdoors, charity work, writing (letters or in journals), math problems, etc.
Small list, I know.
