Slavery was a fact of the human condition ever since Adam sinned and became enslaved under the evil domination of Satan.
The same thing happened to the Israelites in Egypt under Pharoah.
God provided all that was necessary to free his people from slavery of every kind.
The only reason there is little or no slavery in the world today is due to Christianity.

The Old and New Testament both condone slavery. But the New Testament does say for masters to be good to their slaves. By the way slaves came in all races and colors in ancient times.

The Slavery of The Bible is not the same as the Slavery we are familiar with. It was more akin to Indentured Servitude. The Jews were not allowed to have Slaves taken in War as were the Gentile Nations around them.

i'm able to't have faith i'm answering this question for somebody who chosen his moniker from the call of a dildo in a William Burroughs novel, yet right here is going: ethical relativism, my buddy. In Jesus's time, slavery grew to become into an of direction and an absolute, something like having a white collar job on the instant. As in, it kinda sucked, yet no person thought it grew to become into undesirable or incorrect or somewhat outstanding or something.

Because when the old testament was written there was no such thing as slavery. Slavery started when the white man brought the black people from africa to america.

It was written when slavery was considered fine. That is why the bible also tells to stone gay people and why all the apostles were guys, it is an extreemly outdated book which isn't really relavent today.
