The governments of this world will soon decide to do just that. There will be a number of things which may motivate them to put an end to all organized religions, but they will soon mysteriously turn on religion which has been used by the governments to control people for centuries. The commercial elements of this world, (big business) will stand back and allow this to happen, also mysteriously, because they have been profiting from religion's hold on people also for centuries. The terrorism on the part of religion, the religious bloodshed, the chaplains in the armies, the Christian zionism movement, the perverted pedophile leadership, the shamless riches of religion, the religious political meddling, the ridiculous thought that God made the world in 6- 24 hour days only about 6,000 years ago.....all this and more has the world finally in a situation where they have had it up to here!
Just watch....it wll happen.....but where will you be?

The worldy authorities, perhaps the UN or some other international body, will do just that soon. It's inevitable, since most religions try to get involved in politics and the politicians don't like that. Religion is also seen by many to be the number one threat to the human race.

When people stop believing in God they do not believe in nothing they believe in anything.
GK Chesterton I think.....but in other words it is human to believe in something....thats why there are new religions and cults starting all the time....new age being the most wll known. It is something that governments would do well to tolerate as suppression will lead to more religions. Look at Albania....the only country in the world to officially declare the non existance of God. And who is the worlds most famour Albanian?....Mother Theresa!

humans on the whole seem to have a need for religion to pay homage to their "creater". Communist countries have banned religion in the past and failed-look at china. Humans want to think they are someone special and will go somewhere "nice" when they die-earth is just a stepping stone. When the life on earth ends so will religion. Until then it's business as usual!

If you read the Bible at Revelation chapter 17 and 18 you will see that it is Jehovah God that will get rid of ALL false religion. This will occur in the near future and in chapter 18 verse 4 and 5 it tells everyone to 'get out of her my people, if you do not want to share in her sins or receive part of their plagues. Unfortunately some of the people that are still living in the 9th century in their belief system will acquire atomic weapons and some other group with a similar mentality will also have some, then while attacking each other they will exterminate mankind......done.

that will never happen. i hope it doesn't. certain people need to convert as it is the only way they can cope with their life and their problems. i would much prefer to see someone praying than raping or murdering.

Religions exist because people feel comfort when clergy tell them that there is an afterlife. Gullible religious people are not willing to accept the reality of no gods, because that would mean that they would have to accept the fact, that when you die, your existance ends.
Most people fear death (understandably), so as long as the various religions promise an afterlife they will have followers. Religion may last forever, who knows.
