No, they will use it to say that the "gay agenda" is so powerful, that even their most revered men are being hoodwinked by Satan. The truth is that they won't accept the truth for what it is.
It is very interesting that Rev. Ted Haggard denied everything in the beginning, but now he has admitted to buying crystal meth (an illegal drug -- which he knows is illegal), and having a massage (but no sex.).
Come on, wake up and smell the coffee. Drugs + massage from a male prostitute = (do the math, or does it need to be spelled out?)
It's a hard way to come out, but after years of preaching intolerance and being a bigot, he is finally swallowing his own bitter pill.

Homosexuality is an abomination, take it up to God, that doesn't have anything to do with compassion towards them or forgiveness. You can point the sin and love the sinner. It's godly to do so. Pastor Ted's downfall will not change the Scriptures. For even if all should perish, the Word of God will still stand.
Evangelicals will stand for the truth, whereas may it hurt or not, it doesn't have anything to do with the compassion that we exercise, or forgiveness. We are a light in the darkness. We are merely there for people to see the way. Whether they want to take it or not it's up to them. We will still shine. That's our purpose. Don't make it sound like it's okay.
It's not and will never be, no matter what the opinion of men should be, or whether it's condoned by the society or not. Tolerance of the sin is not in our agenda. Tolerance towards the sinner is. God loves them so do we. He hates the sin but loves the sinner. Would you people stop with your political correctnes, it doesn't matter a bit to us. We are following a higher standard, that's all. If you want to hear about it, fine, if not, fine, be that way. Let us be too.

I'm Christian, and I think that it's so wrong for other Christians to say such horrible things. In Gods eyes, your heart is what's most important; not your looks or orientation. What I want to know is what kind of things do these so called Christians, have buried deep down inside. I can almost guaranty, that God is more saddened by those people than anyone else. After all, how much love can you have in your heart, if you are going around telling people that they are going to Hell for the things that they do.

Alot of Christians are very compassionate and forgiving I personally am a drug addict and alcoholic but I wouldn't expect anyone to accept me living in a bottle. For me to drink is a sin, and no one should accept that behavior from me under any circumstances.
Homosexuality is also a sin that needs to be forgiven, but no Christian should accept sinful behavior from anyone.
Hate the sin, Love the sinner.
