I use a ceramic iron, but it takes a really long time to get my hair straight and once its straight it tends to return to it's curly self as the day goes on. Any tips to get it straight and keep it that way? What about chemical straightening?

I'd suggest getting a really good flat iron, which will run you about $100 and up. Then a good shampoo/conditioner such as thermasilk which is heat activated and use some biosilk serum on towel dried hair. Then either let it dry naturally or use a blow dryer with a medium sized round brush. Then after you have dried it, go over it with the flat iron. This is what I do and it works great, my hair doesnt frizz up. You can wash your hair every three days I was told at the salon to minimize damage if youre planning on using the flat iron daily. Good luck!

I use baby oil because it keeps my hair moisterize and shiny, but you can use any product that you like. You should straighten your hair in parts, like split some up and some down. Take a comb and slowy comb a piece of your hair with the flat iron following it. This usually keeps my hair straight for a few days and I dont really have to straighten it every morning.

I relatively have very curly hair and that i straighten it frequently besides. that's what I do and it style of feels to artwork and shop my hair in sturdy situation. bathe at night; and once you get out use a go away in conditioner...hair serum...straightening gel, something and then placed your hair in pigtail braids. this might 'do away with' a number of your curl. Then sleep on it, and straighten it day after on the instant. in the journey that your hair is anythign like mine it is going to likely be much less curly and wavy interior the morning and much less complicated to administration and much less time to straighten as adversarial to straightening tight spiral curls. no longer saying you need to do this precisely yet braids are generally a sturdy theory, it in basic terms makes hair extra managable.
