How often does God forgive you? Does He limite his forgiveness? Then should we? I don't think so. We are to be imitators of God and Jesus Christ. Although He said 70 X 7, He meant that we are to continually live in forgiveness. It means we are to see others who hurt us as victims of Satan, not just as people out to get us ...

The Bible says in Matthew 18:21-22 says seventy times seven. The doesn't mean in a life time, it means per day!!! You should forgive any person seventy times seven times per day. Now the Lord didn't say it would be easy, but you have to give it your all. It also says in Mark 11:25 that when you pray to God you should forgive. God forgives us all EVERYDAY ALL DAY for our transgressions, why can't we forgive our brothers and sister for what they do to us. Also read Mark 11:22-26. The ABC's of Faith Pay special attention to verse 26.
A-Ask B-Believe C-Confess D-Do something E-Expect

If you are truly ready to forgive that person then it would only take once. Perhaps you are not quite ready to forgive them for what they have done to you? The moment of forgiveness is complete when you no longer look back on the person who did the action with rage, hatred, fear, sadness, grief, resentment or anger. If you still feel those emotions towards that person you are not ready to fully forgive them. And that is OK.
Forgiveness is a process and takes many tries to complete it. Each time is a step towards full forgiveness. Have you also forgiven yourself for the bad thing happening and for your inability to forgive that person as quickly as you think you should have?

You are supposed to forgive them seventy time seven times- not the specific number, but you should be ready to forgive anyone. But something to remember, Christians, is that we're not push-overs, we're just very loving as our God is. Jesus wasn't a push-over- he was just very kind, loving, caring and forgiving.

a disciple asked Jesus that and Jesus said 70x7
basically make it endless... get in the habit of more forgiving and less counting
ironically after 70x7 years of not keeping the sabbath laws of the land the Jews went into captivity and according to the Angel to Daniel 70x7 years are somehow determined AFTER the order to return to Jerusalem
"70 time 7 will you forgive me for what I have done" was a popular song maybe 15 or 20 years ago

G od says 777 times you should forgive. It is the way of HIM. If you want forgiveness than you have to forgive. I have had so many bad things done to me in the recent past. And I have forgiven everyone of them. I have humbled myself and asked GOD to help me to understand why these things are. And HE just keeps asking me to Love and Forgive. So I do........

You hit a sore on me.
I really need to learn to forgive up to seventy seven times.
It takes me a long time to forgive.
And a really long time to forget.
Do we need a support group of some kind?
It's commanded to easily forgive and forget, but for me, it's work on my part.
