Hi Jason...there are cats who enjoy being vacuumed. For those who do not it isn't advisable unless you know how to kindly desensitize them to it. Anyhow, for those who do not mind there's vacuum attachments to use to brush away loose hair:

Use a brush, the noise from the vacuum cleaner would probably scare the cat to death. My cats run and hide when I vacuum the apartment.

I think the suction of regular vacuum cleaners might be too strong for a cat. Maybe a hand-held vac would be better.
I used to use a vacuum cleaner on my dog.

No silly. Heavens forbid this will scare the heck out of your cat. Purchase a brush in a local petstore. Brush twice early morning and evening. To make sure the loose fur gets off her.

Yes,I just did that to my g/friends cat (g/friend not home) & it worked great.
Tie cat to dining table leg,get vacuum out,turn-on & have as much fun as I just did.
I gaurantee the cat won't want to sit on yr lap ever again but there will be a problem when yr g/friend get the vacuum out next time,
the cat will s8it itself.
Have fun !!

They actually make a product, I think I saw it on TV or something, that vacuums off hair. I don't remember if it attaches to a vacuum or if it is a separate machine. It was a few months ago and I haven't seen it since. Maybe its not longer on the market.

Not unless you want to terrify the cat! Get a slicker brush available at any pet store and use that.
