I had a black & white patched cat when I was a child & called her Apache ... we seemed to watch a lot of cowboy & indian films & I must have been into puns.
On the native american line I've just been here http://www.lowchensaustralia.com/names/nativeam.htm
for suggestions:
Chilam (snowbird), Elki (draping over ... typical cat on lap image, lol), Hotah (white), Istas (snow), Jacey (moon), Kajika (walks without sound), Muraco (white moon)
I'd also think about naming her Cloudy or after grey & white clouds ... or perhaps Cirrus or Nimbus. Though there is a native american name for beautiful clouds rising, which is Lomahongva - probably shortened to Loma.
I think that my favourites are Elki, Kajika & Loma.

Hum! I have a male cat just exactly like your female cat is described.
Snickers, but I would call it Patches.

My grey and white girl kitty is named Honda. No particular reason for it other than when she purrs, she sounds like a car.

It's all simply a matter of personal preference. I have short hair and guys such as it. And i prefer a man with short hair over a guy with long hair because long hair tends to make guys look as well girly.
