yep born sinners, born again is simply referring to when Jesus answered the rich man's question.

How do you get to heaven.

You are reborn.

How you can't go back into your mother.

You are re born of the spirit.

Yes we are all born sinners, that is why we need to be born again..that means born of the spirit..In Ezekiel 36:26 God makes a promise to give us a new heart and put a new spirit in us, this is fulfilled when we accept Jesus and he gives us the Holy Spirit... no man can ever get it right without the guidance of the Holy Spirit.. and that is what God promise to put in a new spirit to help us to keep his commands..Even though we are born again we are still carnal and have to give the Holy Spirit room to change us and we make the choice to follow or not. I hope this helps. Take Care and peace.

I find it fascinating, that Christians cannot and do not agree on what 'born again' means.
Some say it means accepting Jesus as your saviour, and that's all you need to do.
While others say these people are not 'born again'. That being born again requires a 'conversion experience', which involves 'rejecting sin', using Jesus as a guide.
It seems to me that it is used by many Evangelical Christian groups to convert people to Christianity.
All the arguing among different Christian groups simply surfices to make the term 'born again' confusing. It doesn't clarify anything about being a Christian.

According to the guys on TV all you need to do is ask Jesus to forgive your sins, let Him into your life and at this time you are born again. In the spiritual realm that is. Oh and by the way, send your hard earned money to the address on the bottom of the screen, and get in return a cheesy bible made in China or some place where kids work all day for 5 cents.

Christian was actually a little chap who popped out a little early as his mum was giving birth. His dad wasn't ready with the camera, so the midwife dutifully obliged by briefly pushing him back in. Oh, how they laughed! When the photo was printed, 'Born again Christian' was the title they wrote underneath it in the album to remind them of the father's ineptitude and the jolly giggle they all had that day.
I guess it's caught on, and anyone who's found themselves to be a bit of a nuisance at the wrong time now calls themselves a born again christian.

We are all born sinners. To be a "Born Again Christian" means to have repented of your sins, after which you seek forgiveness for them, and ask for the salvation that Jesus offers you. When you feel you are ready, you ask to be baptized in water. You are then a new man (or girl, boy, woman...) in Christ, so you are "born again" in Christ. It's like starting afresh, but with forgiveness and salvation. I hope I did a good enough job explaining this.

We are born Sons of Adam into sin. We are born again Sons of God into Grace.

Being born again is an internal process where te old spirit dies and a new one is created. Along with the death of the old spirit, the compulsion (not the ability) to sin is destroyed. Not only are we revorn with an immortal spirit, but we are also in union with the Holy Spitiy who helps us shed our old habits and ways of thinking, to make us more CHrist-like day by day. In fact, we become more and more our true selves, without the layers and layers of dross that the world piles onto us.

We have baptism in water to symbolise death and rebirth. Then we have baptism in the Holy Spirit where we are connected to God.

actually even though everyone else has said we are born into sin, we aren't... we are all born as innocent babies slowly influenced by the world. by the time we are old enough to talk we've been "corrupted" (i guess, for a lack of a better word) and need to rebuild our relationship with God and that is only possible through his son Jesus. being born again is just reffering to accepting God's son and his love and having any clinging sin washed away!

The ter Born Again shold apply to spirit anointed Christians who have the hope of going to heaven. They are born again in that they are reborn spiritually, as spirit creatures in heaven. Most true Chritians have the hope of living forever on the Earth.
The term has been hijacked by 'charismatic' groups to describe being born to a new life where they attempt to be joyful in their personal relationship with Jesus, whom they regard as a personal saviour.

You answered your own question. Yes, we are all born sinners, so we must be "born again".

You are refering to John 3 where one of the Jewish leaders approached Jesus and asked a question similar to yours. Jesus said that a man had to be born of water (not baptism! this refers to physical birth, which does occur through water) and the Spirit (this is regeneration of the sinner, securing their soul to heaven).

Christ gave an outline of the two births right there in a nice, neat package.

PS: that Jewish leader became a follower of Christ
