I have received 6 calls from the same number in the last 30 or so hours. I called the number back and a message said “sorry to have bothered you, this is a political call” and then it hangs up on you. I’m waiting for them to call back so I can talk to them about the many phone calls.

Does anyone know how to get off a political calling list? Is there someway I can get these people in trouble? Is there a way to get around the automated voice message that hangs up on me?

Any thoughts/ideas would be great. And yes I know I could just talk to them, but so far I haven’t been able to answer my phone when they’ve called and now I’m seriously annoyed.

Thanks!

sorry they are legal calls, they are not part of the Do not call list aimed at telemarketers. Just tolerate it for 3 more days and vote against the offenders.

For obvious reasons, politics are exempt from Telemarketer regulations.

If you have MCI, you can block the number for free. If you don't have MCI, sign up for Call Block.

Otherwise, you have to deal with it until after election day.

if you ever get a real person then ask them to take your # off of their call list. and if not then just wait till the election is done. you could always change your # too

I don't know but it should be illegal. These cost me MINUTES.. each time I answer, I lose a minute that I can't get back.

How can it be legal for them to cause me a financial loss (however small it is?)
