well I am Christan and have many photos of ghosts......I HAVE TAKEN.. There is a big debate on this.... Sylvia Browne says that Christan beliefs teach us that ghosts can be also a proof of life everlasting.... My ghost encounters have always been loving and a caring experience.... almost like a letter from heaven saying hey ... we are here and cant wait for you... See there is so much to this... you can have an intelligent haunting that for some reason ... this soul decided not to go into the light... and for some reason... only you can help .. you can see a haunting that is residual..or like a taped message that r2d2 plays over and over ..no one is there just a recorded message... the christian religion teaches life ever after ,,, but when we see glimpses of it .,, somehow its attributed to satan.... I believe in ghosts . and I am a christian.

Good earth-bound ghosts and Christianity can not co-exist. If the Bible is to be believed, when a person dies they go to a place called the Spirit Prison or Paradise where they await the Resurrection and judgment - they are not wandering around the earth interacting with humans.
Earth-bound ghosts, then, would be the evil spirits cast down to the earth after the war in heaven where Satan and his angels fought against God.
Then there are, of course the most common non-religious-based type, the Ghosts that millions of people claim to see that are long-lost relatives or some conflicted soul who met with a violent death or for some reason remains behind for who knows what.
Personally, I don't really believe in ghosts but I hold out hope since it would be evidence that some part of us survives the grave - but logic and commonsense will not allow me to believe in an afterlife.

No, I do not believe in ghost. The apostle Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:6-8, that while we are home in the body, we absent from the Lord. And when we are absent from the body we are present with the Lord. Paul is telling us that when we die our spirit goes to the presence of the Lord and then we are judged. If our spirit is with the Lord there is no possible way thta our spirit can be walking around on earth. When people see a ghost, what they are actually seeing is a demon, if a demon can make you believe you have seen a dead person, it will make you question what God's Word say's, which causes you doubt if God's Word is the truth or not. Then Satan has you right where he wants you. Remember Satan is the deciever, and he do anything in his power to get you question God's Word.

The only Ghost I believe in, which isn't much of a ghost anyway is the Holy Spirit, I think the souls go to that place in the middle, not Heaven, Earth, or Hell, something else, where the souls are judged for heaven or hell.

No, I am a christian and I don't believe in ghosts. There are demons and they arent human and never have been. They are the angels that went with Lucifer when he was at war in heaven with God. And was ultimitley thrown out.
The bible says that we are absent from the body and present in the Lord. We don't get lost, misguided, or get a second chance like Patrick Swayze in ghost.
Every time that the bible talks of a spirit, it is from satan.
I.E. Legion, for they were many
The girl that had a telling spirit in Acts
all sent out, and unclean.

1) No, there's no such thing as ghosts.
2) As an atheist, I'm continually amazed by how many things Christians are willing to believe: astrology; healing crystals; magical magnets; ghosts; alien abductions; the list goes on and on. I was raised catholic and I distinctly remember being taught that all that other stuff was mere superstition.
It appears that once you accept the existence of an invisible, intangible entity of astronomical proportions, you're capable of believing anything.

A "ghost" is the energy shell of a deceased person. Usually that shell decays over a period of a few days to a couple of weeks. Sometimes they can linger for years, however. A person who has died a traumatic or sudden death is more likely to leave an energy shell that lingers on for years-- it's because he/she doesn't realize that he is dead. That's why ghosts are more likely to be seen in a place where a person has died a traumatic death.

I don't see why any religion wouldn't be open to the existence of natural laws we haven't yet discovered. I believe ghosts etc, fall into this category, there is no religion I know of that can explain every action in this universe so one that claims to is likely just closed minded. I've seen too many unexplainable things in my life to say there isn't something to this phenomenon, we just can't measure or explain it yet.
