The little husks can get under your gums even when you have had no extraction. That husk can irritate a gum into extreme pain and swelling. So think about that husk getting into an extraction sight............oooohh! Besides, the actual crunchy popcorn crumbling in there........It's probably just now starting the good closure and healing.......don't set back the process.. It's actually a good sign that you are even thinking of popcorn only a week later, must have been an easy extraction......but don't push it

Bad idea... Get away from the popcorn. When I had my wisdom teeth pulled I had to eat PUREED soup that went through the blender for a few weeks. Popcorn would be the equivalent of suicide. Happy healing...

I can see you now; picking out the popcorn skin that gets caught in your gums, out of the raw flesh where your "wisdom" tooth once was.

take a tooth pick and poke yourself in the raw flesh, then answer your question yourself!

I tried to eat ONE peanut the week after my extration. I used my front teeth to chew. Oh the pain....
