As in, would it damage anymore than any normal dye would? I was thinking about trying it. You know with putting peroxide in your hair and using a flat iron on it. I'm just wondering, if do it then I'm going to test it on an unnoticeable part of course but I'm just wondering.

It will wreck your hair. Do you need to hear more?
The concentration of hydrogen peroxide that you can purchase at the Px is not the correct concentration for hair. Ph needs to be in agreement in order for the proteins not to be destroyed.
If you insist on trying it ...first go to the drugstore and find out which bottle of HO (hydrogen peroxide) is the freshest...it does become stale...if you take it home and pour it onto your toenails and it does not foam...it has become inert...try again. If it does foam it has not become inert. Put some on puff pad. Rub it over your eyebrows...or the hair on your arm... or a strand of your hair if you must. You will see that it turns a marvelous shade of orange. It will go to successively lighter stages of orange, and then it will start to go through the golds...then it will start going through the yellows. each stage will require another treatment with the HO. In short, by the time you get throug the yellows to Pale yellow...which is the shade before blonde...your hair will start to break. The reason why I suggested your eyebrows first is because most people like to lighten their eyebrows "careful!!!" and these hairs regenerate very quickly...and you don't have to go through so many stages to get them to go blonde. Buy a Kit!!!For goodness sake...

Um...okay, putting hydrogen peroxide on your hair will not do anything to it unless you let it sit there for about a week. The peroxide that is in hair color is activated when it is mixed with the ammonia in the hair dye. The only thing it's going to do to your hair is make it smell bad and break it--it won't change the color.

partout250 is right, too--just don't do it. You'll be pumpkin-orange or bald (or a little bit of both).

Do NOT use Hydrogen Peroxide or you will really regret it! If you use it the wrong way, your hair can literally FALL OUT! Use Sun-In and in a few days your hair will be your desired color. and it looks natural. Plus: Not damaging! Its super cheap too. Its in just about every walmart

Girl, are you serious? Do not attempt to die your hair with peroxide, unless you want to be wearing a ceasar cut the next week. Peroxide is not healthy for your hair, it will break your stuff off. So no, don't attempt that, go get professional highlights.

it will damage it way more than a normal dye for sure, it turns colors because the chemical dries it up and as it does, thats when it changes the color. Plus you wont be able to control what areas will be lighter than others, it won't be just one flowing color, you will get areas, and that will look horrible!

if you have blonde hair this will naturally get bleached by the actual sun in the summer. There was this guy in my class who had golden blonde hair that had been a medium brown near the base. When he came back to school after summer vacation, it was almost platinum blonde!
