Do you use the shields or toilet paper to sit on? Or do you hover?

Hovering has it's advantages...those seat covers do nothing, if the seat is wet it goes right through them as well as any toilet paper you put down so what's the point? Hovering can also be looked at as a strength training exercise, building strong quad muscles in the legs (hey, I'm looking for a bright side here to hovering). But if I get so much as a drop of tinkly on the toily seat I am considerate enough to wipe it off. I have never understood how women can pee all over the seat and then just leave it there? Or worse yet, after going a very messy poo just leaving it for others to walk in on and view. I pity the poor soul (minimum wage employee's usually) who have to clean it up. People need to have some class!!!

I would not ever sit on a public toilet seat. I try most of the time never to even use public rest rooms. People are so nasty when they go to the bathroom. The leave urinee all over the seat. Everywhere you touch the gems are spreading. It smells of urin. If I have to go that bad then I hover and wipe the seat off after me. Then washing my hands I never touch the doorknob I always use a paper towel.

I sit.

I can't STAND going into a public washroom and seeing pee all over the seat because the last woman hovered and didn't bother to clean up her own mess. If you sit down, nobody would get pee on the seat and then nobody would feel the need to hover!

There are barely any diseases that are transferrable through a toilet seat, anyway - not to mention the seat isn't actually touching anything except your upper thighs (unless you happen to sit very strangely on the seat). It's not like it's skin-to-skin contact and really, unless you have open sores/wounds all over your legs... you're most likely not going to catch something from the toilet.

Hover if you want, but for the sake of everyone else - clean up your mess! Urgh!

thats a good question for you to ask. i absolutely love that question. to the person thats asking the question: look at how many women answered they either wipe it off ,hover, or put down the sanitary paper. 95 percent of women answered your question that way.
now its time for me to answer. I ALWAYS sit on the toilet seat unless there is ovious piss on it then i wipe it of with tissue. think about it................ if 95 percent of women do not sit on the seats then how are you going to get a disease or crabs by sitting on it. everyone else hovers, so therefore that seat is MINE!
i say thank you to all of the women that hover because when i really have to go pee and im in a public bathroom then i know that only 5 percent of the female population has sat on it and out of that 5 percent, 3 percent put sanitary covers down. did you ever think of that?

I ALWAYS cover the toilet seat with tiolet paper, if there is no shield. I find it a little hard to hover without touching the tiolet, so usually I cover the seat =)

NO WAY would I ever sit on a public toilet. No matter what the circumstances! You just never know who or what was on it before you. I do hover, if I absolutely cannot wait until I get home. Here's a thought- you know those coat hooks on the inside of the stalls? Hook your jacket or purse up there, and hang on to it for a little extra support. :)

I try to hover, but if it has been a long night and I am totally exhausted, I will line the seat with toilet tissue.

I sit.

I'm too lazy to hover and I am not afraid of germs.... I also follow the five second rule when it comes to dropping food on the floor. The last thing I ever think about is germs. I don't hear about people dying from eating chips that have fallen on the floor or from people sitting on toilet seats.

I sit.

If it's gross then I hover or put down toilet paper, but 99% of the time I think it's clean enough to sit on.

I've never heard of someone dying from sitting on a toilet seat. One friend of mine got crabs while at college, an as he's a virgin he assumes it was from the toilet seat. But that's an anomaly, and really easy to get meds to get them to go away.
