My wife and I make Pizza a lot - we call it 'make a your own pizza' night.
Basically, we buy frozen dough from the bakery section of the grocery store (most big grocery stores will have it - just ask the bakery people.)
Then, we preheat the oven to 375.
Then, I 'knead' the dough for a while while my wife chops the vegetable (onions, green peppers, or whatever you want). I try my best to get it into a round, even shape. It's not easy and takes a lot of practice. Just make sure you don't 'push' it into the cooking surface too much, or it will stick.
Then, we put some pizza sauce on it (also buyable from the grocery store). Don't put a lot, or it will be way too saucy.
Then, we put a little bit of cheese as 'foundation'. Mozzarella is best.
Then, the toppings. We like green peppers, onions, sun dried tomatoes, feta cheese, jalapenos and chicken. Then, a very generous coating of cheese on the top.
Then - pop it in the oven. Bake for around 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling.
A pizza cutter is key for cutting into slices.
Then enjoy. My wife and I like to have ranch 'dipping sauce' with our make-a-your-own pizza. It makes it very good.

I have a good crust recipe. Use 1 cup of flour, 1/8 cup of sugar, a pinch of salt, 2 tbsp of quick-rise yeast. Mix it all in a bowl, and then, using a spoon, add about 1 1/2 cups HOT water. Mix with a wooden spoon and add flour until you end up with a soft dough. Turn out onto a floured board and knead it for about 5 minutes. Put into a bowl, cover it, and let it sit in a warm place (or in a larger bowl of hot water) for 15 - 20 minutes. While wating for your dough to rise, cut your meats and vegetables, and shred your cheese.
Stretch your dough into a 12" greased pan. Top with pizza sauce, the toppings and the cheese. Bake in a 400 degree oven (remember to preheat it) for 20 minutes. At the 20 minute mark, you will have to start checking it. It usually takes about 30 minutes to completely bake.
You can also add some hebs and garlic to your flour mixture before adding the water. It will give the dough a different flavour. Or, once your dough is stretched into the pan and you've added the sauce, you can sprinkle with basil and oregano, and parmesan cheese all over.

How cute are you!!!!
You buy pizza dough at any supermarket of pizza shop.
Stretch and spread the dough, slowly so that it becomes thin and round to the point you like it. You can also press it with your fingertips but this will take a bit longer. Keep shaping it.
Once it is shaped as you want it, spread the store bought pizza sauce on it ( not too much ) from the center out leaving about an inch free from the edge all around.
Next add your mozzarella cheese as much as you like.
Sprinkle some oregano on it and cook on a cooking sheet that will fit it fro about 15-20 minutes at 350. Keep checking it so it don't burn. The chess will bubble and the edge will be lightly browned. If you add meat like sausage be sure it gets cooked too! Have fun and make it with friends! ....no food fights! '-)

I buy the dough mixes in the little bags, usually you only have to add water. Follow the directions on the bag, then add toppings. It's really not that hard. Make a list before shopping so you don't forget anything vital (like cheese or sauce) or any toppings you want. I use minced fresh garlic as a topping and it's really good, along with pepperoni, ham (chopped lunchmeat works), mushrooms, green pepper, onion, and lotsa cheese. Baking directions will be on the dough mix, and I just use a rectangle cookie sheet since I don't have a round one.

Everyone who has tried this recipe says that it's just as good, if not better, than the pan pizza found at Pizza Hut. Enjoy!
DOUGH
4½ cups (22.5 ounces / 637.9 grams) bread flour
1½ cup (12.5 ounces / 354.4 grams) water
2 teaspoons (0.27 ounce / 7.7 grams) active dry yeast
3 tablespoons (0.5 ounce / 14.2 grams) powdered milk
1 teaspoon (0.2 ounce / 5.7 grams) salt
1 tablespoon (0.42 ounce / 11.9 grams) sugar
2 tablespoons (1 ounce / 28.4 grams) vegetable oil
All ounce measurements are avoirdupois (by weight not volume)
In a stand mixer (KitchenAid) fitted with a dough hook, add the water, yeast and powdered milk.
Mix thoroughly until yeast has fully dissolved.
Mix the remaining dry ingredients together in a separate container and add them to the mixer.
Mix on low (speed 2) until most of the flour and water have mixed, then continue kneading for 10 minutes. The dough will be loose and scrappy at first and will quickly form a moist, smooth cohesive ball (while the dough is still scrappy, add the vegetable oil one tablespoon at a time).
While the dough is kneading, add ½ cup (4 ounces) of vegetable oil to a 14" pan style pizza pan making sure that the oil completely covers the bottom.
After the dough has been kneaded for 10 minutes, remove it from the mixing bowl and, using a rolling pin, roll it out to approximately ¾" thick and about 12" in diameter. If you have more dough than you need, save the remainder for another time.
Place the dough in the pan and cover tightly.
Let the dough rise until it has filled the entire pan and is about 1½" thick.
Place the pan (still covered) into the refrigerator for at least 4 hours (up to 24 hours).
WHEN READY TO MAKE
Preheat oven to 500 °F for about 30-45 minutes.
Remove dough from the refrigerator and add sauce, cheese, and toppings.
Bake at 500 °F on a pizza stone for 14 minutes.

BBQ Chicken Pizza:
We love the contrast of flavors provided by sweet tomato chutney, savory chicken, and sharp cheddar cheese.
1 (10-ounce) Italian cheese-flavored thin pizza crust (such as Boboli)
3/4 cup tomato chutney
2 cups chopped roasted skinless, boneless chicken breasts (about 2 breasts)
2/3 cup diced plum tomato
3/4 cup (3 ounces) shredded extra-sharp white cheddar cheese
1/3 cup chopped green onions
Preheat oven to 450°.
Place crust on a baking sheet. Bake at 450° for 3 minutes. Remove from oven; spread chutney over crust, leaving a 1/2-inch border.
Top chutney with chicken. Sprinkle diced tomato, cheese, and green onions evenly over chicken. Bake at 450° for 9 minutes or until cheese melts. Cut pizza into 6 wedges.
Note: If you can't find tomato chutney, make your own. Combine 2 cups diced plum tomato, 3 tablespoons brown sugar, 3 tablespoons cider vinegar, 1/8 teaspoon Jamaicañ jerk seasoning, and 1 minced garlic clove in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium; cook 20 minutes or untril thickened.
Yield: 6 servings (serving size: 1 wedge)
