because it's like they bought a chevy and want the rest of the world to buy a chevy because they're not sure on their own if it's better than ford, but if you buy one too, then maybe it is

Without realizing it you've just illustrated why there will never be world peace or one religion or one mindset - because people are self-righteous, intolerant, and self-absorbed and do not want compromise in politics or religion. It's called human nature which I don't believe can ever be changed fully.
Ask yourself why you don't accept, say, the Hindu Gods, and then you'll understand that's the same reason they don't accept yours. Personally, I'm an atheist, I reject all so-called Gods. And if you want to see the *&^% hit the fan, tell a Christian you're a non-believer, believe me, it's not a pleasant experience. The hate, names, and condemnation is at a level I can't begin to describe. And I'm supose to accept that they are messengers of the Prince of Peace?

I have never said "god sucks" or said "christians blow" or anything like that. And if someone did that to you, I'm sincerely sorry you had to listen to such hate. I can also assure you if someone did that, they were not an Asatruar. We simply don't do such things. We've got a very 'hands off' approach to other people's religions.
Ftreagain, you do realize that saying, or even implying, someone of another faith from you needs 'saving' is, in fact, VERY judgmental. 'Taking action' just points out that you have passed a judgment and most of us non-christians find it at least a little offensive. While I just smile politely, I do know of others who have ended up in full-blown altercations over such behavior. So please quit trying to 'save' us. Most of us already have a relationship with the divine and we don't NEED to be saved. And most of us aren't going to convert. Implying we are 'bad' for not believing the same way you do isn't exactly the way to make friends, let alone teach someone about your god.

The Bible teaches that we are to tell people when they are doing wrong. However, you are right. Many take it way too far, such as----You are wrong for sleeping with someone out of wedlock, so now you must be evil. NO! That's the wrong way. The proper way is to say, "The Bible teaches that adultery is wrong. Please think about this." BUT, and in this you are also right. Our whole goal should be to spread God's word, His love, His mercy, His grace. The first and foremost thing a Christian should do is live the least sinful life he can live, then witness of God's love. After that, then maybe a bit of teaching the right and wrong, but unfortunately there are a lot of fanatics, backsliders and hypocrits.

Oh, the hypocrisy of religion. Treat others as you wish to be treated, just so long as they are of the same religion!!
It's the whole this-is-the-only-ticket-to Heaven BS that they brainwash their flock into believing. Why can't the Buddhists go? How 'bout the Muslims?? No? Not even the Jews? Just New Testament-reading Christians, eh?
Religious nutjobs need to stop trying to 'fix' all of us that don't give a damn about their religion. If we wanted to be Christian we would be Christian, but there's a reason we are not and that is because your belief structure clouds your ability to see the Bible as a teaching tool, leaving you think it's a ticket to Heaven.
Boo on them and their elitist ways.

Are we judging OR entering the debate of ideas and conversation?
Just because people disagree with you does not mean that they are judging you personally.
In debate you must accept people for where they are in thought and ideas, or else some may say that you are judging!
Enjoy the debate and conversation. Not everyone is going to agree with your position, and that is okay.

I feel the same way. I am a Christian, and find it very offensive when people say that God sucks and stuff like that. Exactly, why can't they just accept us for who we are?
Christians don't judge, but they take action in trying to save people.

Because religion is overrated.
People feel forced to believe and shove their beliefs down other peoples throats.
