"A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I don't permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner" (I Timothy 2:11-14).
"As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission as the law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church." (I Corinthians 14:34-35)

"When a woman has her regular flow of blood, the impurity of her monthly period will last seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean till evening. Anything she lies on during her period will be unclean, and anything she sits on will be unclean. Whoever touches her bed must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. Whoever touches anything she sits on must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. Whether it is the bed or anything she was sitting on, when anyone touches it, he will be unclean till evening" (Lev. 15:19-23)

"If a man takes a wife and, after lying with her, dislikes her and slanders her and gives her a bad name, saying, 'I married this woman, but when I approached her, I did not find proof of her virginity,' then the girl's father and mother shall bring proof that she was a virgin to the town elders at the gate. The girl's father will say to the elders, 'I gave my daughter in marriage to this man, but he dislikes her. Now he has slandered her and said I did not find your daughter to be a virgin. But here is the proof of my daughter's virginity.' Then her parents shall display the cloth before the elders of the town, and the elders shall take the man and punish him. They shall fine him a hundred shekels of silver and give them to the girl's father, because this man has given an Israelite virgin a bad name. She shall continue to be his wife; he must not divorce her as long as he lives. If, however, the charge is true and no proof of

the girl's virginity can be found, she shall be brought to the door of her father's house and there the men of the town shall stone her to death. She has done a disgraceful thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father's house. You must purge the evil from among you." (Deuteronomy 22:13-21)

First of all, I am a Protestant Christian. The quotes are there, but the Lord did not say them. The person that was speaking, was speaking of the law of that day. And the thinking in that day. Thank God that we now know differently.
About women speaking in church, they used to think that only Eve was the one who was tricked or deceived. But Adam was tricked too. By Eve. The bible didn't say that Adam was there, when the serpant told her to eat the fruit. This logically means that she offered him the fruit, and he ate it without question. Tell me this. When God told them not to eat it, did Adam not recognize the fruit of the tree he was told not to eat from? This is why God punished them both. They BOTH sinned. They BOTH knew!
As far as a woman being unclean on her period, we now know that menstrual blood is used to thicken the uterine lining in the event of a pregnancy. If a woman gets pregnant, that same blood is used to send nutrients from the mother to the child. It's used to nourish an infant! This makes it more clean than our own urine. However, both can smell if exposed to the air for any amount of time, so the daily showers or bathing is necessary for ALL humans. Not only the menstruating ones. Only up until recent years were women even told that it was safe to bathe during the menses. Something about an old wives tale that said a woman will get sick, or catch her death of cold, or something like that for being wide open? I don't know how it went exactly, but that was the thinking then. We can all be grateful that we don't believe that anymore.

I Timothy 2:11 says that a woman should learn in “full submission.” However, Scripture does not teach that a woman must be in total submission to all men. So we need to find out what kind of submission Paul is talking about.
In I Timothy 2:12, the apostle Paul says, "A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. These verses have caused much discussion and debate, especially in recent years, as to whether or not women can have leadership roles in the church.
This passage along with 1 Cor.14:33-35 has often been used to silence women in the church and to restrict them from positions of leadership.
I Timothy 2:14 is that Adam was not deceived, thereby suggesting that he sinned deliberately. It is not clear why this is a reason for men to have authority.
Note: I am not going to seek to establish the "true" interpretation of this controversial passage.

It would take a lot of space to give a good explanation. My advice to you is to never take one scripture and try to understand it's full meaning as it stands alone. The Bible is God's Word, (singular)not God's words(plural) because it must be understood as a whole. These scriptures must be balanced with all the rest of scripture. Obviously, God is not against women being leaders, look at Esther and Deborah. The history and culture is also important. Timothy was most likely talking about some mouthy women who were trying to take over in areas they had no business taking over. (snoopy, gossipy, busybodies) surely you know the type. Also about menstral flow, there was many cleanliness issues then that we no longer face...health issues.

Why no longer furnish the entire quote after which you're going to have part replied your possess query - if you happen to have been certainly relatively watching for solutions....... "I (Paul) wish then that during each position the guys must pray, lifting holy fingers with out anger or quarreling; likewise additionally that ladies must embellish themselves in reliable attire, with modesty and self-manage, no longer with braided hair and gold or pearls or luxurious apparel, however with what's correct for ladies who profess godliness—with well works." I Timothy two:eight-10 ESV "Likewise, other halves, be area on your possess husbands, in order that even though a few don't obey the phrase, they is also received with no phrase via the behavior in their other halves, once they see your respectful and natural behavior. Do no longer allow your redecorating be outside—the braiding of hair and the striking on of gold jewellery, or the apparel you put on— however allow your redecorating be the hidden character of the guts with the imperishable cosmetic of a smooth and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight may be very worthwhile. For that is how the holy ladies who was hoping in God used to embellish themselves, via filing to their possess husbands, as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. And you're her youngsters, if you happen to do well and don't worry some thing that's scary." I Peter three:one million-6 ESV Clearly then, each guys are emphasizing the significance of interior deportment alternatively than outward look. Just such as you constantly pay attention to interior intergrity greater than the approval of folks.

first, God is a God of order and not disorder. this arrangemeant is ment to bring order and responsibility to the family. Adam as the family head should of corrected Eve. As the bible states the head of the woman is the man, head of the man is Jesus, the head of Jesus is God. Adam being more informed had the responsibility to teach Eve and should have taken responsibility for it. Satan tempted Eve because she was less versed knowledge and possibly confidence in God. that's what i think
Men because of the above arrangement, they are not to take the lead or be a head of a congregation. They can help in teaching but when it comes to making decisions it is the male (qualified as stated in the books of Timothy) to head the congregation.
But again it is Gods arrangement for the man to teach. It is a bible principle.

You won't get many answers from believers because these are things they like to gloss over.
Basically it is men making sure they maintain superiority over women by claiming their laws actually came from god.
"Whoa... Don't blame us, you crazy broads... *God* commanded it; we just wrote it down. Now be quiet and get back in your tent 'til your period is over."
Sigh.

It means that the MEN who translated the bible felt it necessary to embellish it with what they thought. They did not want women to have a chance to be their equals.
