Well it meens he either likes you or thinks of you as a close friend. But either one is good because close friendships can always lead to more if you can make it happen.
I wouldnt go ask him straight up if he likes you but maybe hint around to who he has in mind. Start a conversation and go from there! = ] GoodLuck!

he might just wanna be your friend or it could be serious.b/c if guys let you wear their hat, that means they like you, like you, but if he just throws it to you and says "hold this for me" then he just wanna be friends (or he sucks at flirting)
