i started talking at 6 months old and could talk in full sentence before a year old. But i was born before baby einstine, and my mom didn't play classical music. what she did do was read to me.

actully it's my spelling and my typing. i don't have children. i was just wondering if it really worked or parent are just getting screwed out of their money.

in my family i have an older brother. He learned to read when he was 2 years old, because my mother took the time to use flash cards. She didn't use them with me because father had gotten in to an accident on his motorcycle and she had to take care of 3 people on her own.

MrsMama21 i have a learning disablity it is a fact that im not ashamed of and there is not much i can do about my paticular disablity because it really hasn't been studied as much as it should be. All i can do it work with it and do my best.

I don't believe that particular products are any better than the old school books and toys.

Yes, they are great. My daughter started watching them when she was 3 months old and now at almost three years old has all of them. My 10 month old watches them too. My daughter is very advanced. I don't know if it was those videos or not but she is very smart. She started talking in full sentences when she was like 15 months old. You could actually hold a conversation with her. She is in preschool now and is way more advanced, especially in her verbal skills and her grammer, than the other kids.

My son LOVED all of those tapes and is doing excellent in school now, 3rd grade. Can't say for sure it was the tapes, but he loved them. I recommend them just becuase they're educational, and if the kids are gonna want to watch tv, this is a great compromise!

I do not show my kids baby einstein to make them smarter. I do it to promote early exposure to classical music, soothing images, and it is a great background to make dinner too (much better than D-D-D-D-Dora!!). My kids 2.5 and 4.5 both still watch it.

I also like the clear images they show -- cows, pigs, things my kids can easily understand.

They also both really enjoy Little Einsteins with art and music exposure. They are great as far as culture goes.

Its impossible to point to any one thing that makes a difference. Sharing your time and attention is probably the biggest one. Those videos are relaxing though, and our kids like to watch them ocassionally.
