Somehow anybody who could possibly terrorize the U.S. disappears? Then the troops come back to a country that will never be attacked from foreign or domestic terrorists? Then, everybody just goes back to work and school? And somehow Afghanistan and Iraq become nonviolent countries?

You really beleive it?

no, i don't. We're already losing, 8 billion dollars per month, that's waaaay too much. And iraq had nothing to do with terrorism in the first place, Bush just gave an excuse to make people beleive him to attack iraq instead of afghanistan.

And IF we capture Iraq, we will become moooore powerful. There are rich people in this country who practically own this whole country and they want to have oil for free, which is why they attacked iraq. They also spent money on the war each month. Just do some researching and get the facts straight.

Now with that said, when we get more powerful, do u think russia and other countries that dislike us would like it? No, so they GIVE weapons to other countries so we can have trouble winning and in there case, hopefully never win. Why do u think Russia gave Iran those weapons??

So as a matter of fact, with other countries helping Iraq and we are wearing ourselves out by focusing on that place the whole time, I do beleive are chances for winning is only about 17%.

If we DO win or if we just quit on the war, everything will turn back to normally hopefully unless the US wants to attack ANOTHER country (which they always do).

Sometimes I wonder when a peaceful president will run for office and America will stay neutral with others...

What if as a result of the Iraq civil war the US pulls out, leaving the Sunni minority to the mercy of Iran and the country's Shia majority? In the bloodbath that follows, al-Qaeda might then be concerned with dealing with Iran than the West.

no this will surely not be the war to end all wars, as was made so very clear at the beginning of WW2. however Iraq and Afghanistan could and more than likely will, become non violent countries, if we finish what we started.

So your assumption is that the war on terror is limited to Afghanistan and Iraq? Refer to Flawed Premises 101, p. 48.

It is possible that the war on terror will be won, but not with bullets. That will never happen.

As long as we have a war-mongering idiot in the white house, we are in dire straites.

I think a realistic answer would be that every country would be responsible for its own actions without imposing its ideology on other countries or governments.

An unrealistic answer would be world peace.
