evangelical life and beliefs on everyone else in the cadet corp in light of the news about TED HAGGARD?

Apparently some people posting questions and answer do not keep up with news. I targeted Evangelical because that was the religion cadets at the Air Force Academy were complaining about that was being forced on them.

Talk about a question with an axe to grind. Why evangelicals only at the AFA? What answer are you looking for?

Here, I'll give you the answer you want to hear: They're hanging they're heads in shame, admitted the error in their ways, and have embraced atheism.

It's true that some Evangelicals-- particularly, unfortunately, in the chaplains' office, where they should know better-- were doing some heavy proselytizing at the Air Force Academy. There was an investigation, and while no official charges were filed, I suspect some people were reminded of their roles (which don't include getting the Academy bad press). A woman chaplain, a Lutheran, probably had her career hurt by the good-ole-Baptist-boy network for being part of the whistle-blowing.

The news about Ted Haggard won't change much. He sinned. He shouldn't have. But it's not going to embarrass other Evangelicals into silence, since they (justifiably) don't feel responsible for what Haggard did, and honestly believe that the sort of heavy-handed proselytizing they were doing was the right thing to do.

Don't ask don't tell still applies at the military academies - Ted Haggard is not deterred by the military.

The thought never entered my mind. So you must be a Democrat.. a member of the thought police and the enforcers of zero tolerance and PC thought.
