I think that you should be happy. He sounds like a nice guy!

How do you feel? That is the question you should be asking. We can't decide if it is your fault or just a sweet thing that your boyfriend did. If you want my opinion, though, I would say that it is partially your fault because you didn't go, but it is also partly your boyfriend's sweetness because he possibly didn't want you to think he was hitting on your friend or something (LOL I know you are probably saying,, "Yeah, right, like he would do that!", but STILL, or maybe he just didn't want you to feel left out. You never know what guys are thinking. But this is just my opinion. It is your choice whether you feel thankful, bad, depressed, or happy-go-lucky. You choose your own feelings, not us. :)

The question is not how you should feel. The question is how did you feel, and why did you feel that way. Don't try to live you life based upon how others say you should feel or shouldn't feel. You are your own person, and you shouldn't live your life based upon how others think you should feel in a given situation.

I think it was a sweet thing. He should give some things up for you, but dont ask too much or too often. He still needs to live his life with his friends.

So, you're happy he didn't go without you? But you feel bad that he missed out on the fun?

It's sweet, he'd prefer to spend his time with you, than one of his friends (if I interpreted things correctly). OR maybe he didnt feel comfortable going out with your friend without you. It's ok, it's sweet, he wouldn't have enough fun without you!

Be happy.
But don't pressure him, if you put pressure on him not to go then you're not right.
If he chose not to go, w/o pressure from you, be happy
You have a nice boyfriend
Nice boyfriends are hard to find

He loves you and wants to show you that he'd rather be spending time with you. It's not your fault.

Don't feel bad if it's one of YOUR friends.

That means he'd probably feel more comfortable hanging out with your friends.. WITH YOU THERE ALSO. So that is sweet.

But if it was one of his friends.. then he should go.
